GLASGOW – Hubert D. Gregory, 88, of Glasgow, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Spencer Gregory.
His arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
Linda Rebecca Jessie
EDMONTON – Linda Rebecca Jessie, 62, of Edmonton, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Leon Davis Bragg and Minnie Avil Parrigin Bragg and the widow of Henry Jessie.
Graveside services were 11 a.m. Friday at Nichols Cemetery in Edmonton.
Veachel H. McGuire
GLASGOW – Veachel H. McGuire, 92, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
He was a Barren County native, the son of the late Joe Chris and Wallace Moore McGuire and husband of the late Lucille Harper McGuire. Mr. McGuire was a farmer and a member of Caney Fork Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by one son, Con (Mary) McGuire of Temple Hill; one sister, Christine (John) Miller of Glasgow; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Rachel McGuire (Steve) Garrett; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Steve McGuire; two sisters, Irene Simmons and Earlene Jones; and three brothers, Mitchell, Ernie and Glen McGuire.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. until time for the service.

CAVE CITY – Walter Wilson, 82, of Cave City, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

ILLINOIS – Donald K. Whitlow Sr., 75, of Midlothian, Ill., died there Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008. There will be visitation Friday, Dec. 26, at McKenzie Funeral Home in Oak Forest, Ill., from 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be Sunday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Gary Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 28, from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral.
