Shirley Mae Wilson

GLASGOW — Shirley Mae Wilson, 79, died Friday, April 24, 2009, at Glasgow Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was the daughter of the late Sam and Irene Spencer Abston.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years: Frankie Wilson; 10 children: Ricky Wilson and his wife Vickie, Bryant Wilson and his wife Mary, Tim Wilson and his wife Rita, Eva Wilson, Curtis Wilson and his wife Kim, Charlotte Wilson and her husband Jimmy, Kay Wilson and her husband James, Jessie Johnson, Rita Glass and her husband Johnny and Terry Johnson; 31 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren: Trenton Ray Wilson and Cheyenne Journey Coffey.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.



Eugene R. Glenn

SMITHS GROVE — Eugene R. Glenn, 73, of Smiths Grove, died April 23, 2009 at his residence.

He was the son of the late Robert Glenn and Lorene Coverdale Glenn and the husband of the late Martha Jane Hitchcock Glenn.

A graveside service will be Sunday 2 p.m. at Otter Gap Cemetery in Edmonson County with burial in the cemetery.

Hardy & Son and Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.



Susan Lynn Capps

TOMPKINSVILLE — Miss Susan Lynn Capps, 37, died April 25, 2009, in Tompkinsville.

She was the daughter of the late Jessie Caps and Ruth Hammer Capps of Tompkinsville.

Funeral services are incomplete, but under the direction of the Yokley-Trible Funeral Home.



Rodney Edwards

EDMONTON — Rodney Edwards, 83, of Edmonton, died Friday, April 24, 2009 at U of L Hospital in Louisville.

He was the son of the late Robert and Beulah Jewell Edwards.

He was a retired farmer and army veteran of the Korean conflict.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Harper Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

He is survived by one daughter: Wanda Caffee (Bobby), of Edmonton; three sisters: Shirley Humphrey of Center, Adrie Camden and Doris Gilbert, both of Indiana; three grandchildren: Mark Caffee and Sharon Copass, both of Glasgow and Stephen Caffee of Summer Shade and two great-grandchildren: Nicholas Copass and Amy Vazquez of Louisville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kizzie Harper Edwards; two great-grandsons: Justin and Richie Caffee and seven brothers and sisters.



GLASGOW — Susan Carole Jump, 56, died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at NHC Healthcare facility in Glasgow. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.



LOUISVILLE — Paul Houston Waddle, 69, who fought a long and courageous battle with colon cancer, passed away as the result of a car crash on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, in Bullitt County. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home in Munfordville with burial in Union Light Cemetery in Edmonson County. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 until 9 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Union Light Cemetery Fund.



GLASGOW — Billy Thomas Walker, 63, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at his residence. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Monday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be after noon Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Walker choose cremation.
