Stanley Chmiel

FOUNTAIN RUN — Stanley Chmiel, 77, died Friday, April 24, 2009, at The Scottsville Medical Center.

Funeral services were at Christ The King Church in Scottsville at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 27, with burial in the Fountain Run Cemetery.

He is survived by two sons: James Chmiel of Glasgow and Johnny Chmiel of Fountain Run; a sister, Sophia Chmiel of Florida; and eight grandchildren.

Hughes Funeral Home, Fountain Run, was in charge of arrangements.



Elizabeth Thornton Harbeson Lane

CYNTHIANA — Elizabeth Thornton Harbeson Lane, 94, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana.

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 15, 1914, to the late Ben and Elizabeth Ewing Bradford Harbison. She grew up in Augusta, attended Augusta High School, transferred to and graduated from Science Hill Academy. She attended Wellesley College in Massachusetts. She was married to the late Richard Keene Lane also of Augusta. They, with their family, moved in 1945 to Cynthiana, which became their permanent residence until their death. Mrs. Lane was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son: Richard Harbeson Lane, Fort Myers, Fla.; two daughters: Judith (Francis) Lindsey, Leesburg, Va., and Elizabeth (Gary) May, Glasgow; grandchildren: Margaret Lindsay (James) Reisser, John Rutledge Lindsay, Elizabeth Parker Lane (Michael) Klump, Richard Harbison (Stacy) Lane Jr., Benjamin Bradford (Patricia) Lane, Katherine Stuart (Parrish) May-Brown and Robert Warrick (Susan) May; nine great-grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services will be conducted 7 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2009, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, Cynthiana, by the Rev. James Owens. Visitation will be 5 p.m. Friday until time of service.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the Licking Valley Campus of the Maysville Community College, First United Methodist Church or charity of choice.



Robert Cecil Priddy

SONORA — Robert Cecil Priddy, 56, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at his residence.

He was the son of the late Arthur Priddy and the late Martha Womack Priddy.

Funeral services will be today (Tuesday) at 2 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in Sonora Cemetery.



Geneva Lucille Dillard Riddle

GLASGOW — Geneva Lucille Dillard Riddle, 85, died Monday, April 27, 2009, at her home.

Arrangements are incomplete, but under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.



Barbara Jean Watson

KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Barbara Jean Watson, 45, died Sunday, April 26, 2009, in Munfordville.

She was the daughter of Robert Morris and Victoria Morris.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 30, at Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville. The family chose cremation. There will be no visitation.



SERVICES

GLASGOW — Gladys M. Reed, 95, died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at her home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Mann Cemetery in Metcalfe County.



EDMONTON — Gertie Marie Shockley, 90, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at her home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.



EDMONTON — Ross Milo Trayer II, 37, died Sunday in Edmonton. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Dire Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Tuesday) from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
