Nancy Ann Bishop

LOUISVILLE — Nancy Ann Bishop, 69, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at St. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville.

The former Cave City resident was born in Edmonson County to the late Frank and Nannie Mae Shaw Ritter. She was retired from the Ford Motor Company in Louisville and a member of the Servant Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil Bishop, Louisville; two sons: Gregory Bishop, New York, Michael Bishop, California; two daughters: Judy Jaggers and Tina Bowling, both of Louisville; five brothers: Ronald Ritter and Kenneth Ritter, both of Indiana, Corey Eugene Ritter, Louisville, Leon Ritter, Texas, and Tom “TJ” Ritter, Virginia; a sister, Rose Lee Skaggs, Shepherdsville; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Elzie Ritter.

Funeral services with the Rev. Merrold Hatcher officiating will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 1, at the Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, with burial in Servant Valley Church Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 4 p..m. Thursday.

Roberta ‘Bobbie’ Pedigo

EDMONTON — Roberta “Bobbie” Pedigo, 83, died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

She was the daughter of the late William Raymond Melloy and Hertelle Reynolds Melloy. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar Pedigo; one son, Michael O. Pedigo of Florida; one daughter, Robbie Friedman of Florida; one brother and one sister, Larry Melloy of Indiana and Jean Davidson of California; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Glen Melloy.

Carol Glynn Perkins

EDMONTON — Carol Glynn Perkins, 70, died Monday, April 27, 2009, at her home.

She was the daughter of the late Morris and Lula Mae Devore Perkins. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at Pleasant Hill Church of Christ at Randolph with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Butler Funeral Home and after noon on Thursday at the church.

She is survived by five sons: Michael Perkins of Charolotte, N.C., Byron Perkins of Indian Trail, N.C., Don Perkins of Alexandria, Va., Randy Perkins of Lebanon, Tenn., and Chris Perkins of Paragould, Ark.; two brothers: J. W. and wife Loretta Edwards and Denny Edwards, both of Edmonton; two sisters: Phyllis (C.G.) Bray of Clinton, Tenn., and Dorlis White of Arlington, Texas; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Geneva Lucille Dillard Riddle

GLASGOW — Geneva Lucille Dillard Riddle, 85, died Monday, April 27, 2009, at her residence.

Born in Allen County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Beulah Gunnels Dillard and wife of the late Wayne Riddle. Mrs. Riddle was a former caregiver for the elderly, she was of the Baptist faith and formerly attended Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter: Patricia Pedigo (Sammy) of Glasgow; a grandson: Mike Smith of Glasgow; a granddaughter: Amy Shirley (Ricky) of Glasgow; three great-grandchildren: Corbyn Smith, Sheonna Bartley and Kierra Shirley; a sister: Adine Levi of Glasgow; a brother: Floyd Dillard of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Janetta Bartley; three sisters, Leona Woods, Audrey Polston and Earline Whitlow; and three brothers, Blon Dillard, Odell Dillard and Aubrey Dillard.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

CYNTHIANA — Elizabeth Thornton Harbeson Lane, 94, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana. Memorial services will be conducted 7 p.m. Friday at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will be 5 p.m. Friday until time of service. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the Licking Valley Campus of the Maysville Community College, First United Methodist Church or charity of choice.



KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Barbara Jean Watson, 45, died Sunday, April 26, 2009, in Munfordville. She was the daughter of Robert Morris and Victoria Morris. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville. The family chose cremation. There will be no visitation.
