Kathleen D. Crain

PARK CITY — Kathleen D. Crain, 64, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in Park City.

She was born in Scottsbluff, Neb., the daughter of the Charles Madison and Marjorie O’Bryon Lewis, of Glasgow, who survives. She was employed at Mammoth Cave National Park in ticket sales and was the owner of Crain’s Riding Stables. She was a member of Park City United Methodist Church and Park City Woman’s Club.

She is also survived by two sons: Matthew C. Crain of Park City and Aaron John Crain of Park City; one brother: Clifton J. Beagle of Vancouver, Wash.; and one granddaughter: Brookelynn Marie Crain of Park City.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2009, at Patton Funeral Home, Park City Chapel. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2009, at Elizaville Cemetery, Elizaville. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2009, at Patton Funeral Home, Park City Chapel.

Frankie Isbell

HORSE CAVE — Frankie Isbell, 70, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Edward P. West and Nora Bush West, and wife of the late James Arthur Isbell.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 18, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Winn Funeral Home Chapel, Horse Cave, with burial in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.



Kenny W. Killman

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Kenny W. Killman, 45, formerly of Cumberland County, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009, in Las Vegas.

He was the son of Phyllis Burns Enyeart of Burkesville, and Henry Carmon Killman and his wife Carolyn of Burkesville. He is also survived by his wife, Trudy Killman of Las Vegas, Nev.

A memorial service was conducted Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Cumberland County Athletic Department or www.generationrescue.org (an autism organization).

Elizabeth K. ‘Libby’ Brownfield

GLASGOW — Elizabeth K. “Libby” Brownfield, 78, of Glasgow, died Friday, May 15, 2009, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. A daughter of the late Christine Smith and Ellis Redford Church, she was a homemaker.

Survivors include one son: Tony Brownfield and his wife Donna, of Glasgow; one granddaughter: Kara Perkins and her husband Ronnie; two grandsons: Andy Brownfield and his fiance Chelsea Harbert and Ben Brownfield, all of Glasgow; two sisters: Louise Ralston of Louisville and Imogene Davis of New Albany, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Brownfield, and one brother, W.T. Church.

Graveside services will be noon Monday at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.



Hazel Nadine Druen

MUNFORDVILLE — Hazel Nadine Druen, 85, of Bowling Green, formerly of Munfordville, passed away at 7:40 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Britthaven Nursing Home in Bowling Green. Mrs. Druen was born in Green County to the late William Jennings Bryan Weller and Nellie Mae Thompson Weller.

Mrs. Druen owned and operated a beauty shop in Hardyville for several years, she was employed as a funeral director from 1953-1981 with Sego Funeral Home and she and her husband owned and operated Sego Funeral Home from 1981 until their retirement in 1998. She served on the advisory board of directors for Hart County Bank & Trust Company, was a former member of the board for Pearl Webb Cemetery, taught Sunday School at Hardyville Union Church and was a member of the Hardyville Baptist Church.

Mrs. Druen was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Leon Druen, a sister: Margaret Nell Crabtree and by two infant brothers: William Spencer Weller and Samuel Henry Weller.

She is survived by a daughter: Teresa Hardcastle and husband Amel of Bowling Green; two grandchildren: Amelia Jones and husband Darrin and Melodye Campbell and husband Jason; and four great-grandchildren: Matthew Phelps, Bethanne Jones, Taylor Brooke Campbell and Nathan Jones, all of Bowling Green.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Druen will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Oldham, Matthew Phelps and Darrin Jones officiating.

Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Visitation will be Monday from 2-8 p.m. at the Sego Funeral Home and after 8 a.m. Tuesday until time for services at the Sego Funeral Home.



James Dewain Bolton Sr.

BOWLING GREEN — James Dewain Bolton Sr., 87, of Bowling Green, died at 7:10 p.m. May 15, 2009, at his residence.

He was the son of the late Posie Gold Bolton and Frances Elizabeth “Seats” Bolton. He was the husband of the late Patsy “Hatcher” Bolton.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hillvue Heights Church and a graveside service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smackover Memorial Gardens in Smackover, Ark.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel and from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at Maple Avenue Baptist Church in Smackover, Ark.

LAYFAETTE, Tenn. — Esther Pearl Penner, 80, passed away at her home Wednesday evening, May 13, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted at the Fountain Run Mennonite Church on Monday at 10 a.m. with burial in the Fountain Run Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughes Funeral Home in Fountain Run.
