Paul Geralds

GLASGOW — Paul Geralds, 81, formerly of Louisville, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

He was born in Lakeland, Fla., the son of the late Jesse T. and Mary Franklin Geralds. Mr. Geralds was retired from General Electric in Louisville after 33 years of service and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a Mason, a member of Abraham Lodge No. 8 F&AM; in Louisville and a member and deacon at the Beaver Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Barren County.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Erika; a son: Michael E. Geralds (Deborah) of Marion, Iowa; a daughter: Susan K. Geralds of Louisville; a sister: Mary Emma Kaiser; and a half sister: Nina Ann Gambrel, both of Louisville; six grandchildren: Jonathon, Justin (Jill), Eric, Sherri (Wendell), Celeste and Emily; three great-grandchildren: Katelan, Bryan and Jack; a daughter-in-law: Judy Geralds of Louisville; a son-in-law: Joseph Hillerich of Louisville; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Paul T. Geralds; a daughter, Norma L. Hillerich; three brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Tuesday) from 3 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to: The Hematology Program, James Graham Brown Cancer Center, 529 S. Jackson St., Louisville, KY 40202 or the American Heart Association, or the Diabetes Association or the Beaver Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Leslie Theodore Bogard

CUB RUN — Leslie Theodore Bogard, 53, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at his residence.

He was the son of the late James Bogard and Shirley Bogard, of Cub Run, who survives.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in Cub Run Cemetery. Visitation continues until 8 p.m. today (Tuesday) and from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.



Rouble C. Lawrence

SMITHS GROVE — Rouble C. Lawrence, 76, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow.

Arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.



Alvin Lee Tennyson

BONNIEVILLE — Alvin Lee Tennyson, 78, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at Parkway Medical Center in Louisville.

He was a son of the late William Robert and Lela Gibson Tennyson.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in Memory Park Cemetery at Bonnieville. Visitation is from 2 until 9 p.m. today (Tuesday) and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

SUMMER SHADE — Mary Frances Birge, 82, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville. Funeral services will be today (Tuesday) at 2 p.m. at White Cemetery Chapel with burial in the White Cemetery. McMurtrey Funeral Home, Summer Shade, is in charge of arrangements.



EAST ELMHURST, QUEENS, New York — Hattie Lee Bailey Hansford, 68, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, in East Elmhurst, New York, after a brief illness. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with burial in Barlow Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church. G. C. Williams Funeral Home, Louisville, is in charge of arrangements.



GLASGOW — Larence E. Hunt, 77, formerly of Lamb, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Barren County Health Care Facility in Glasgow. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Poplar Log Cemetery.



BURKESVILLE — Delton Muse, 66, died Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Cumberland County Hospital. Funeral services will be today (Tuesday) at 1 p.m. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, Burkesville, with burial in Marrowbone Cemetery.



GLASGOW — Ruth Aline Norris, 96, died Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Barren County Health Care Facility. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Lick Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today (Tuesday) and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time for the service. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to Lick Branch Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund; The Gideon’s or your favorite organization.
