Ronald Barr

HORSE CAVE — Ronald Barr, 45, died Saturday, June 6, 2009, at his residence.

He was the son of the late Joseph Barr and the late Wanda Barr. Survivors include his wife, Carol Barr.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in Quinn Cemetery.



Charles Neal Copas

RED BOILING SPRINGS, Tenn. — Charles Neal Copas, 56, died Friday, June 5, 2009, in Red Boiling Springs.

He was the son of the late Willie Cordell Copas and Florence Tooley Copas and husband of the late JoAnn Short Copas.

Funeral services will be today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with burial in Old Mount Herman Cemetery.



E.C. Kekus Ford

CAVE CITY — E.C. Kekus Ford, 91, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Caverna Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include a son, Neil Ford; and his wife, Carol, of Cave City.

Funeral arrangements, under the direction of Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, are incomplete.



Nicholas Wayne Shaw

OCALA, Fla. — Nicholas Wayne Shaw, 22, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009.

He was a lifelong resident of Ocala. He graduated from Forest High School in 2005 and the Florida State Fire College in 2008. Nicholas was a former firefighter with Marion County Fire Rescue. He was a member of Maricamp Road Church of Christ.

He is survived by his parents, Wendell and Sherry Shaw of Ocala; his sister, Shawna Shaw of Ocala; his grandparents: Glaydene and Ralph Huffaker of Citra, Fla.; his uncles: Roger Whitney of Ocala, Terry McPherson of Somerset, Shelby Shaw and Steve Dittman, both of LaGrange, Ga., Shelby Ballard, Dale Turner and Kermit Dubree, all of Tompkinsville, Tilman Ballard of Frankfort, Ind.; his aunts: Emily Whitney of Ocala, Diane McPherson of Somerset, Doris Shaw and Gay Dittman, both of LaGrange, Ga., Faye Turner, Wilma Waller, Wanda Hagan and Barbara Dubree, all of Tompkinsville, Alice Ballard of Frankfort, Ind.; and several dearly loved cousins.

Nicholas was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dr. Royce McPherson; grandparents: Sanford and Freeda Shaw; and uncles: Wayne Shaw and Welby Ballard.

Nicholas was deeply loved by many and brought joy to all those who knew him.

A visitation for Nicholas will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. A celebration of Nicholas’ life will be on Friday, June 12, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Maricamp Road Church of Christ, 2750 SE Maricamp Road, Ocala, with Jeff Robison officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Children’s Burn Camp of North Florida (campamigo.net) or Forest High School Football Program or Marion County Youth Football League.



Albert Wimberly

RED BOILING SPRINGS, Tenn. — Albert Wimberly, 69, passed away Monday, June 8, 2009, at Sky Line Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Survivvors include his wife, Lawanda Wimberly of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 13, at 1 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home, Gamaliel Chapel. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday, June 12, at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Cookeville Regional Cancer Center.

GLASGOW — Wendell Franklin Davis, 82, died Monday, June 8, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.



BOWLING GREEN — Louise K. Harris, 93, died Wednesday night, June 3, 2009, at Barren County Health Care in Glasgow. A "Celebration of Life" memorial service will be Wednesday in Bowling Green at 3 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, 1003 State St., Bowling Green. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The Presbyterian Church in Bowling Green or the Karl Weis Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Edmonton State Bank, P.O. Box 1149, Glasgow, KY 42141. Arrangements are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.



MUNFORDVILLE — Brownie Rock, 77, died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Jewish Hospital. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in Munfordville Municipal Cemetery.



TOMPKINSVILLE — Mitchell Thomas Spears, 71, died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Strode Funeral Home, in Tompkinsville, with burial in Monroe County Memorial Lawn. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or T.J. Samson Hospice.
