Christopher Scott David Parish I

GAMALIEL – Christopher Scott David Parish I, 4-months-old, of Portage, Ind., died Monday, June 15, 2009, at Portage Hospital in Portage, Ind.

He was the infant son of Christopher and Crystal Wilson Parish of Portage, Ind.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2009, in New Liberty Cemetery in Gamaliel. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Friday at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel.



Haskell E. Smith

GLASGOW – Haskell E. Smith, 81, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Frank and Laura Thomerson Smith. He was a retired employee of Allison Gas Turbine plant in Indianapolis and an avid dancer and trader.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Mae Smith; six children: Linda, Charlotte, Rosa Lynn, Chris, John and Steve; two stepsons, Robert Marston and David Marston; one brother, Hobert; one sister, Janie; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and the many caregivers to whom the family offers a special thank-you.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Melody; one brother, Bill; and three sisters, Maggie, Pauline and Laura Mae.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Chapel in Greenwood, Ind., with burial to follow. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

MUNFORDVILLE – Herman “Junior” Mansfield, 72, of Louisville, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, in Louisville. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Brooks Funeral Home with burial in Center Point Cemetery, Munfordville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday until time for service.

BOWLING GREEN – Archie Lee Morrison, 74, of Bowling Green, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at the Hospice Center in Bowling Green. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Randolph Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
