Glenn H. Davis
LOUISVILLE – Glenn H. Davis, 62, of Louisville, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville.
He was the son of the late George Davis and the late Ruby Arlene Jones Mansfield.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday at Brooks Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Brother Sonny Mull officiating. Interment will be at Center Point Cemetery, Munfordville.
Katherine A. Vance Gibson
JEFFERSONTOWN – Katherine A. Vance Gibson, 91, of Jeffersontown, passed away peacefully Aug. 15, 2012, at Green Meadows Nursing Home, Mount Washington, with her family by her side.
She was a member of Poplar Level Baptist Church, the daughter of the late Louis Vance and Maggie Jane Holloway Vance Goad of Glasgow, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Earl Gibson, and daughter, Mary Margaret Fraze.
Survivors include her children, Dorothy Earlene Reynolds (Kenneth); Ronald Gibson, of Shepherdsville, James Gibson (Janet) of Memphis, Ind.; and Terry Wayne Gibson, of Louisville. She was the loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grand-children, and the sister of Evelyeen LaMaster, of Louisville, Thomas Carl Goad (Susie), and Eddie Mae Jackson (Addis), both of Glasgow.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 10600 Taylorsville Road, Jeffersontown, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 until 8 p.m. Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Larry G. Sanders
HORSE CAVE – Larry G. Sanders, 71, of Horse Cave, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at his home.
He was a Hart County native. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Kermit Sanders and Marie Bumgardner Sanders.
He is survived by his wife, Flora Mae Maulden Sanders.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday, until service time, at the funeral home.
