GLASGOW — Leslie A. Denham Bartley

GLASGOW — Leslie A. Denham Bartley, 41, of Glasgow, died Monday, June 11, 2012, at her home.

She was born at Patuxent River, Md., Naval Air Station, the daughter of Harold and Sharon Denham, of Glasgow, who survive. Leslie was a licensed practical nurse and had attended Faith United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Gregory Morris Bartley; three children, Morgan Coomer, Taylor Bartley and Tyler Bartley, all of Glasgow; two grandchildren, Addison and Kinsleigh McCoy; a sister, Leigh Denham Hagan (Darrell), of Glasgow; her grandfather, Creed Denham, of Glasgow; and her nephew and niece, Shelton Wilson and Briley Hagan.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Mary Alice Denham, and her maternal grandparents, Robert and Ida Belle Simpson.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2012, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Refuge Cemetery at Eighty Eight. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

J.W. (Jake) Copas

RED BOILING SPRINGS, Tenn. — J.W. (Jake) Copas, 65, of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., passed away Monday, June 11, 2012, at Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.

On Dec. 23, 1988, he married Kathleen (Young) Copas, who survives him.

J.W. was born in Monroe County on July 6, 1946, a son of the late Florence (Tooley) and Willie Cordell Copas. He was a retired electrician and plumber and was of the Baptist faith.

J.W. is survived by two daughters, Vickie Buzzard, of Bowling Green, and Tammy Broadbent, of Trigg County; four sons, Joey Copas, of Fountain Run, Jeffrey Copas, of Clementsville, Tenn., Jimmy Frazier, and Dwayne Frazier, of Tompkinsville; four sisters, Kathleen Wilkerson, of Lafayette, Tenn., Ruth Cherry, of Mount Vernon, Tenn., Linda Price, of Hermitage Springs, Tenn., and Becky Smith, of Celina, Tenn.; 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 14, with Dwayne Fox officiating. Visitation after 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Burial will be in Old Mount Hermon Cemetery.



Gary Loyis Sheroan

GLASGOW – Gary Loyis Sheroan, 61, of Glasgow, died Monday, June 11, 2012, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.

He was the son of the late Loyis and Annie Jane Howells Sheroan. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by one son, Chad Sheroan; one daughter, Karen Bartley; two grandchildren, Austin Clay Willis and Allie Jane Jeffries; two sisters, Mary Ann Grigsby and Janie McNeeley.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Happy Valley Memorial Gardens, with the Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV providing military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America or Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV.
