GLASGOW — Minnie Elizabeth Gibson

EDMONTON – Minnie Elizabeth Gibson, 93, of Edmonton, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

She was the daughter of the late Chester Asbury and Ellie Fields Hurt. She was a homemaker and member of Society Hill Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Goble Gibson, and two children, James Chandler Gibson and Runell Shirley.

She is survived by one sister, Eliza Gibson, of Edmonton; a daughter-in-law, Delsie Gibson, of Scipio, Ind.; and a stepson, Eulis (Judy) Gibson, of Tennessee. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Stella Asbury, of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a stepson, grandson, step-grandson, great-granddaughter and great-great-granddaughter, three sisters and one brother.   

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Society Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton.  

 

Donald C. Pierce

BOWLING GREEN – Donald C. Pierce, 80, of Bowling Green, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

He was the son of the late Alvin G. “Jack” Pierce and Mable Adalie Atchley.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Lawson Pierce.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hardy and Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Penns Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.

 

Geraldine Puckett


MUNFORDVILLE – Geraldine Puckett, 75, of Munfordville, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at her residence in Munfordville.

She was the daughter of the late Lloyd Carroll and the late Lillian Newton Carroll, and wife of the late Lawrence William "Little Willie" Puckett.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Brother Gary Puckett officiating. Interment will be at Munfordville Separate Baptist Cemetery, Munfordville.



Patty Kay Thomas Watt

ROCKFIELD – Patty Kay Thomas Watt, 53, of Rockfield, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Helen Smith Thomas, who survives.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hardy and Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
