Wanda Marlene Thompson Jewell

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Wanda Marlene Thompson Jewell, 72, formerly of Roseburg, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at her home.

She was a homemaker and sales representative for Avon products for 40 years. She was a member of Speedway (Ind.) Order of Eastern Star and Cane Run Baptist Church in Hart County.

Survivors include a son: William R. Jewell; four brothers: Harlie Thompson and wife Pitsy of Glasgow, E.G. Thompson and wife Ann of Elizabethtown, Norvin Thompson of Cave City and Timothy Thompson and wife Cindy of Lewisburg, Tenn.; four sisters: Phyllis Short and husband Wayne, Ramona Faye Robertson and husband Cecil, Mary Vance and husband Terry; an adopted sister, Betty (Wood) Thompson and husband Donnie, of Glasgow; six grandchildren: Krista, Christina, Sarah, James, Derek and Rebecca; and nine great-grandchildren; a special niece, Debra Crews and husband Charles, and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Alt Thompson; husband, James R. Jewell; and two brothers, Dave and Kenneth Thompson.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. CT Monday, Jan. 25, at Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway, Ind., with burial in Westridge Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 until 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, at the funeral home.

Betty G. Kingrey

GLASGOW — Betty G. Kingrey, 78, died Friday, January 22, 2010, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Pearl Jackson Underwood. She was a retired bookkeeper and was co-owner with her son of the Record Rack in Glasgow. She was a member of TPA, a former member of the Glasgow B & PW Club, and a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene Kingrey; one son, Kevin Kingrey and his wife, Marsha, of Bowling Green; one sister, Jo Pedigo of Cave City; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby J. Smith of Nashville and one brother, Tony Underwood and his wife, Agnes.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.



Phyllis Jane Jessie Lindsey

BOWLING GREEN — Phyllis Jane Jessie Lindsey, 66, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at her residence.

She is the daughter of the late Clarence Jessie and Eunice Fields Jessie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Lindsey.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, with burial to follow at Poplar Springs Cemetery.



BECKTON — James H. Kinslow, 83, of the Beckton Community, passed away Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, Glasgow, with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.
