Jayson Morgan Fields

GLASGOW — Jayson Morgan Fields, infant son of Jennifer Lee Morgan and John Frank Fields, was stillborn at T.J. Samson Community Hospital on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009.

Other survivors include one sister, Cassie Fields, his maternal grandfather, Leroy “Teter” Morgan, and paternal grandmother, Katherine Taylor, all of Glasgow; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Nina Morgan; and paternal grandfather, Elvi Taylor.

Graveside services will be 1:00 Saturday at Happy Valley Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions toward funeral expenses.

Joyce Marie Pennington Jessie

HISEVILLE — Joyce Marie Pennington Jessie, 65, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at her residence.

A daughter of the late Elsie Marie Poynter and James Paul Pennington, she was a homemaker and a member of Samson Street Church of God.

Survivors include her husband, Lonnie; one daughter, Angela Jessie Ramsey (Chris Page) of Bon Ayr; six grandchildren: Charly Ramsey (Cory Perkins), Josh Ramsey, Dakota Paul Jessie, Tyler Jessie, Sierra Jessie and Kylin Spencer; six great-grandchildren: Zoe, Isaiah and Cheyenne Ramsey, Jayvan Jessie, Kierra and McKenzie Vaughn; two sisters: Josephine Rigsby and Carolyn Devore, both of Edmonton; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Lonnie Paul Jessie; one grandson, Billy Paul Ramsey; and two sisters, Martha Graves and Paulette Gibson.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

OWENSBORO — Raymond G. Collier, 81, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Aug. 26, 2009. Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at James H. Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be at 4 p.m. (eastern time) in Somerset Cemetery in Somerset. Visitation is from 4 until 8 p.m. today (Friday) and after 9 a.m. Saturday at James H. Davis Funeral Home, Owensboro. GLASGOW — Elizabeth “Bette” Johnson nee Walker, 82, late of Glasgow, formerly of Mattoon, Ill., and Oak Lawn, Ill., passed away Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009. Funeral services will be Saturday at noon at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home (Edgar Funeral Directors), 11028 S. Southwest Hwy., Palos Hills, Ill. Interment will be in Cedar Park Cemetery. BOWLING GREEN — Shirley Elaine Whieldon, 68, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at her residence. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairview United Methodist Church. Cremation was chosen and no visitation is scheduled. Hardy & Son Funeral Homes, Inc., Bowling Green, is in charge of arrangements.
