Barbara Bragg

DANVILLE — Barbara Bragg, 67, formerly of Glasgow, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at Ephram McDowell Hospital in Danville.

Her arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.



Mildred Zeigler Haines

PARK CITY — Mildred Zeigler Haines, 92, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, in Louisville.

She was the daughter of the late Howard N. Zeigler and the late Ada Jones Zeigler. She was a retired school teacher for the Ohio school systems. She was a member of Park City United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Park City Woman’s Club, a graduate of the University of Kentucky and Bowling Green State University of Ohio. She was a supporter of any activities in which her children or grandchildren were involved. She had a gift with people and was loved by all.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Kenneth W. Haines of Park City; four sons: Kenneth Haines Jr. (Sharon) of Park City, Bruce Haines of Covington, La., Douglas Haines (Donna) of Douglas, Ga., and Dudley Haines (Ella) of Louisville; two daughters: Jeannie Livesay (John) of Louisville and Carol Schumann (Gregg) of Louisville; one sister: Mary Morris (Lloyd) of Cullman, Ala.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Howard Zeigler Jr.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Park City United Methodist Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, and from 9 until 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Patton Funeral Home, Park City Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Park City United Methodist Church.

Kelvin Lee Gus Lyons

SCOTTSVILLE — Kelvin Lee Gus Lyons, 47, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at his residence.

He was a son of the late Willie Edgar McDonald and Chlora Drucilla Stovall Lyons, of Scottsville, who survives.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Fourth Street Baptist Church, Scottsville, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home, Scottsville, and after 9 a.m. until funeral time at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Donations can be made at Goad Funeral Home.



Willie L. Puckett

MUNFORDVILLE — Willie L. Puckett, 84, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at Caverna Memorial Hospital.

He was the son of the late Willie Green Puckett and Nettie Florence Caswell Puckett.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in Smith Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 until 8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.



Eugene Smith

TOMPKINSVILLE — Eugene Smith, 62, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at his residence in Tompkinsville.

He was the son of Elsie Green Smith and the late Herman D. Smith. He is also survived by his wife, Priscilla Jackson Smith.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation is after 3 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to T.J. Samson Hospice.

BRADENTON, Fla. — Mitchell Donnie Curtis, 65, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, in Bradenton. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with burial in Kirkpatrick Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the funeral home.



EDMONTON — Morris Neal Estes, 49, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Butler Funeral Home, Edmonton, with burial in Jessee Cemetery.



SHEPHERDSVILLE — Loyd E. Gentry, 70, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home, 4895 N. Preston Highway, Shepherdsville, with burial in Brookland Cemetery.



HORSE CAVE — Mary (Mammy) Hayes, 78, of Northtown, passed away at 5:10 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2009, at her home. Funeral service will be at Echo Mission church, 2 p.m., Wednesday with burial in Echo Mission Church Cemetery under the direction of Winn Funeral Home. Visitation continues until service time on Wednesday at Echo Mission Church.



GLASGOW — Julia Mattingly, 71, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Barlow Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time for services at the funeral home.
