GLASGOW — Wilmer (Bill) Henry Peil

GLASGOW – Wilmer (Bill) Henry Peil, born in Bloomer, Wis., on April 2, 1921, came to rest in Glasgow on Dec. 24, 2012. He had resided at Highland Ridge Assisted Living until his health weakened and then was cared for at Barren County Healthcare until he expired.

Wilmer graduated from Bloomer High School in 1939 and briefly worked at Waukesha Motors, Waukesha, Wis., until he entered

World War II in 1942. He served more than three years in the United States Coast Guard as a First Mechanic aboard ship. After discharge,

Wilmer returned to his hometown and began a career in law enforcement. He worked as an officer for the City of Bloomer, Chippewa County, and the state of Wisconsin for close to 30 years.

Upon retirement, Wilmer moved to Vero Beach, Fla.,

where he worked as a beekeeper and in security at Piper

Airplane Manufacturer for another 20 years. He eventually

moved to Glasgow in 2011 to be closer to his son,

after the death of his wife in 2010.

Wilmer was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas

and Anna (Kramschuester) Peil; brothers, Herbert and

Norman Peil; his wife of more than 60 years, Shirley

Lois (Molner) Peil; brother-in-law, Edward Aiello and

sister-in-law, Betty Jean Peil.

He is survived by his sons, Curtis Molner Peil

(Paulette), of Glasgow, and William Louis Peil (Cindy),

of Dunkirk, Md.; grandsons, Eric, John and Kevin Peil,

of Maryland and North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Carol

Aiello and Betty Peil; and numerous nieces and

nephews.

Wilmer will be buried beside his wife in the Halverson

Cemetery in Menomonie, Wis., later this year. There are

no plans at this time for services locally. Hatcher & Saddler

Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.



Daniel Lee Story

OAKLAND – Daniel Lee Story, 67, of Oakland, died

Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Greenview Regional Hospital.

He was the son of the late Rita Duggan Story.

A celebration of life will be Monday, Jan. 7, from 5 to

8 p.m. at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green

Chapel.



Emma Doris Allen Turner

TOMPKINSVILLE – Emma Doris Allen Turner, 80,

of Tompkinsville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012,

at Monroe County Health and Rehab Center.

She married Edwin Morris Turner, who preceded her

in death. Doris was born in Tompkinsville on April 27,

1932, a daughter of the late Bessie (Sheffield) Allen and

Carlos Allen. She was employed by Red Kap Sewing

Factory.

Doris is survived by two sons, Michael Turner, of

Tompkinsvlle, Ricky Turner, of Tompkinsville; two

grandchildren, Kelci Turner and Sherri Turner, two

great-grandchildren, Dylan and Briley; a sister, Louise

Emberton, of Tompkinsville; and two brothers, Ezra

Allen, of Tompkinsville, and Jesse Allen, of Indianapolis,

Ind.

She was preceded in death by a son, Larry M. Turner;

three brothers, Bill Allen, Clifton Allen and Clarence

Allen; and one sister, Irene Hayden.

Funeral service was at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at

1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27. Brother Paul Strong officiated.

Burial was in Bowman-Poplar Log Cemetery.

SERVICES



SHEPHERDSVILLE – Dennis Ray Dilley, 56, of Shepherdsville,

died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013. Funeral service

will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Winn

Funeral Home, Horse Cave, with burial in Larimore

Cemetery, Hardyville. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday

until time for funeral service at the funeral home. Expressions

of sympathy may be given to Hosparus of Louisville.



CAVE CITY– Ola M. Doyle, 95, of Cave City, died

Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, in Horse Cave. Visitation will be

from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at Patton Funeral Home

Park City Chapel. The funeral service will be Friday at 1

p.m. at Basil Chapel United Baptist Church with burial in

Cave City Cemetery.
