GLASGOW — J. P. Creek

LAFAYETTE, Tenn. – J.P. Creek, 66, of Fountain Run, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, Tenn.

He was the husband of the late Delouse Ann Lawrence Creek, and son of the late Lovie Creek and Willa Sutton Creek Hale.

Visitation will be Wednesday after 5 p.m. at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in White Oak Ridge Cemetery.

 

Robert Wendell Fields


EDMONTON – Robert Wendell Fields, 74, of Edmonton, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at his home.  

He was the son of the late Thomas and Vergie Clemmons Fields. He was a retired truck driver, Korean War veteran and member of Wisdom Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Forrest Fields; four children, Stephen (Jody) Fields, of Monroe, Mich., David (Maryanne) Fields, of Bluffton, S.C., Sandra Fields (Rick Geralds), of Edmonton, and Estelle Rivera, of Bowling Green; four stepchildren, Terrell (Debbie) Burks, of Lafayette, Tenn., Kim Burks (Chris) Jones, of Glasgow, Tracey Holland, of Edmonton, and Carla (Eddie) Russell, of Glasgow; eight grandchildren, Holly Fields, Amanda Spooneybarger, David Lewis Fields, Karen Dupuis, Robbie Simpson, Stephen Grissom, Michael Thomas and Beth Marquez; six step-grandchildren, Rand LeMarinel, Tara Ervin, Tyler LeMarinel, Adam Russell, Katie Stinson and Aaron Russell; 14 great-grandchildren, Chloe and Morgan Spooneybarger, Skylar Dupuis, Xavier, Xander and Xoey Simpson, Noah and Payton Grissom, Cruz, Jaylin and Rufio Marquez, Dunham Stinson, Iva Balzier and Mattie Ervin; one sister and brother, Birdie Parnell, of Knob Lick, and Tommy Fields, of New Jersey; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dwight and Carol Forrest, of Knob Lick, and Charlotte and Mike Pruitt, of Glasgow.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Fields; his mother-in-law, Myrtie Forrest; and several half-brothers and sisters. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to New Liberty Cemetery.  

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  



Carl L. Jaggers

MUNFORDVILLE – Carl L. Jaggers, 88, of Munfordville, died Monday Jan. 28, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dellard Lee Jaggers and Evelyn Witherspoon Jaggers and by his wife, Gladys Jaggers.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9 a.m. until funeral time on Thursday.



Carl E. Lemasters

GLASGOW – Carl E. Lemasters, 52, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home in Glasgow.



Brittany Alexander Maddox

LOUISVILLE – Brittany Alexander Maddox, 21, of Louisville, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Saint Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home in Glasgow.



Ms. Carolyn Renfro

BOWLING GREEN – Ms. Carolyn Renfro, 84, of Bowling Green, died at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky, Jan. 29, 2013.

Ms. Renfro is survived by a daughter, Myra Foster, of Charleston, Ill., one son, Michael, and wife Janet Renfro, of Bowling Green.

Visitation for Ms. Renfro will be from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cone Funeral Home in Bowling Green. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cone Funeral Home Chapel in Bowling Green. Interment will follow at Still Cemetery, in Bowling Green.

HARDYVILLE – Betty Louise Bryant, 75, of Hardyville, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, in Cave City. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Hardyville.



COLUMBIA – Jay B. Curtis, 73, of Columbia, formerly of Tompkinsville, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn with military rites performed at graveside by DAV Chapter 20, of Glasgow. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.



LAKE CHARLES, La. – Helen Staples Haynes Digh, 78, of Lake Charles, La., formerly of Munfordville, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the West Cal-Cam Hospital in Sulphur, La. A graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Center Point Cemetery. Sego Funeral Home, in Munfordville, is in charge of the funeral services.



CAVE CITY – Kenneth L. Gentry, 88, of Cave City, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Hart County Health Care Facility in Horse Cave. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.



CAVE CITY – Wilna Webster Magers, 95, of Cave City, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at her home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time for the service. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to Cave City Baptist Church Food Pantry, 501 Broadway, Cave City, KY 42127.



MUNFORDVILLE – Donald Wayne Merideth, 59, of Munfordville, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at his residence in Munfordville. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Munfordville Municipal Cemetery, in Munfordville.



SMITHS GROVE – Shawn Dale Thompson, 40, of Smiths Grove, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in Simpson County. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery.
