Carter Blake Decker Buckner

MUNFORDVILLE — Carter Blake Decker Buckner, infant son of Shana Decker and Paul Buckner, was stillborn Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, Steven and Cami Decker of Munfordville; paternal grandparents, Paula Buckner; great-maternal grandparents: Jackie Mabe of Horse Cave and Roger Riggs of Upton; Steve and Katrina Decker of Bonnieville, and Janey Decker of Bonnieville; an uncle, Aaron Decker; and aunt, Lindsey Decker.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Vincin Buckner.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in the Little Flock Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Norman Neal Davidson

PARK CITY — Norman Neal Davidson, 82, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

Born on Dec. 28, 1926, in Park City, he was the son of the late Harry Davidson and the late Bessie Davidson.

He was predeceased by brothers: Robert Davidson, Harry Davidson, Marvin Davidson, Phillip Davidson and Clifford Davidson; a sister: Pauline Woods; and special nephews: Paul Woods and Elvin (Dorothy) Woods.

He was owner/operator of Park City Service Cleaners for over 20 years. He served in the Army from 1954 until 1956. He was a post World War II veteran of the Korean War. He served as chairman of the deacon board emertius, past president of the choir, past Sunday school superintendent, past Sunday school teacher, past church clerk, past treasurer, member of the Brotherhood of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Park City. Also served on the City Council of Park City for 24 years and was a Kentucky Colonel.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Park City. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Interment will be in Hayden Cemetery, Park City.

He is survived by special nephews: Gene (Ruby) Woods, Smiths Grove, Larry (Mildred) Davidson, Glasgow; special niece: Freda Toney, Indianapolis, Ind.; several nieces and nephews, and a host of many relatives and friends.

GLASGOW — Jeffrey Thomas Foster, 59, died suddenly at his home on Monday, Sept. 21, at his home.

Arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.



Helen Francis Pedigo

FOUNTAIN RUN — Helen Francis Pedigo, 85, passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, Tenn.

She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lena Hazel (Marr) Jordan and wife of the late Denny Pedigo.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m. at Hughes Funeral Chapel in Fountain Run. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and after 9 a.m. Thursday until service time at the funeral home.



Linda Jean Slagle

GLASGOW — Linda Jean Slagle, 53, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at her residence.

Born in Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Jewell Ray Parker and Velma Louise Witcher Houchens of Glasgow who survives. Mrs. Slagle was a line inspector for JL French in Glasgow and a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband: Tommy of Glasgow; three sons: Tommy Slagle Jr. (Kelly), and Edgar Slagle (Robin), both of Glasgow and James Slagle (Brenda) of Cave City; one daughter: Jeanetta Jones (Donnie) of Glasgow; one brother: Ray Jewell Parker of Park City; 14 grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.

LUCAS — Ray Moore, 74, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.



FOUNTAIN RUN — Annie Lucille Veach, 98, passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at Barren County Healthcare Center in Glasgow. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Fountain Run Old Baptist Church.
