James Robert ‘Slim’ Gerughty

TOMPKINSVILLE — James Robert “Slim” Gerughty, 53, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at his home.

He was born in Michigan on Sept. 9, 1956, in Michigan, the son of Ravenel Emberton Gerughty, of Tompkinsville, and the late Robert James Gerughty. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Besides his mother, survivors include a special friend: Renee Jessie; five brothers and sisters-in-law: Jeff and Sherri Gerughty of Glasgow, Jack and Mary Ann Gerughty of Louisville, John and Teresa Gerughty of Tompkinsville, Joe and Janie Gerughty of Edmonton; a sister and brother-in-law: Kim and Michael Harper of Tompkinsville.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with burial in Monroe County Memorial Lawns. Military graveside services will be provided by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20. Visitation begins at noon Saturday.



Jerry L. Wade

BOWLING GREEN — Jerry L. Wade, 65, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at The Medco Center.

He was the son of the late Jim Wade and Kathleen Butrum Wade. Survivors include his wife, Lynne Wade.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Hardy & Son Funeral Homes Inc., Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Pleasant Grove General Baptist Church Cemetery in Allen County. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today (Friday) at the funeral home.

LOUISVILLE — Jesse Curd, 80, a native of Glasgow, passed away Sept. 28, 2009. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater St. Mark Baptist Church, 1425 Bland St., Louisville, with entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today (Friday) at the church. Arrangements by G.C. Williams Funeral Home, Louisville.



PORT ANGELES, Wash. — Eva Simmons DeMunbrun died Aug. 6, 2009, at Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, Wash., at the age of 91. Services will be at Mammoth Cave Hotel on Saturday at 2 p.m. The family asks that memorials be made to a local Hospice of your choice. Drennan-Ford Funeral Home, Port Angeles, is in charge of arrangements.



GLASGOW — William A. Siler, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today (Friday) at the funeral home.
