Michael Nichols ‘Nick’ Combs
GLASGOW — Michael Nicholas “Nick” Combs, 30, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at the U of L Hospital in Louisville.
He was born in Barren County on Aug. 18, 1979, the son of Michael “Mike” Combs and Debra “Debbie” Pennington Combs, of Glasgow. He worked in maintenance at Mabey H.C.
Other survivors include his wife: Leneigh Graves Combs of Glasgow; two sons: Alex Combs and Alden Combs, both of Glasgow; one brother: Matthew Combs of Glasgow; and his maternal grandparents: Mitchell and Flossie Pennington of Moss, Tenn.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, with Brother John Osgatharp officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation begins at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home.
Carole Corn
GLASGOW — Carole Corn, widow of the late Rev. Jack T. Corn, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at her residence.
Arrangements are incomplete, but under the direction of Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
Deborah Ann Geralds
GAMALIEL — Deborah Ann Geralds, 56, died Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.
She was the daughter of Norma Jean Parsley Reece, of Tompkinsville, and the late Virgil A. York.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Geralds, of Gamaliel.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the Gamaliel Baptist Church with burial in Gamaliel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Gamaliel Fire Department.
Strode Funeral Home, Gamaliel Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Bobby Lee Huff
GLASGOW — Bobby Lee Huff, 65, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
Born in Barren County, he was the son of the late Willie Chester and Madeline Lee Jones Huff.
He is survived by one daughter: Tanya Copas (Michael) of Edmonton; five grandchildren: Tiffany, Wynonna, Savannah, Courtney and Kristin; two sisters: Barbara Graham and Mary Ann Huff, and a brother: Steve Huff (Loretta), all of Glasgow. He is also survived by nieces; Michelle Ragle Kennie, Tina Huff, Christy Ragle-Stinson (Mike) and Jennifer Huff, all of Glasgow; a nephew: Justin Huff; great-nieces and nephews: Allison Huff, Dustin and Austin Asher, Wesley and Ryan Kennie and Sierra and Cayla Humphrey; a brother-in-law, Nathan Ragle of Glasgow; and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Sue Ragle and Mary Francis Mills; and three brothers, Ed, Feral and Allen Huff.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.

BOWLING GREEN — Melva Marie Stokes, 88, died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be Saturday at McLean Funeral Home, Fort Meade, Fla., with burial in Homeland Cemetery, Homeland. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at McLean Funeral Home. Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
