Kenneth C. Edwards Sr.

GRIDERVILLE — Kenneth C. Edwards Sr., 85, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, at his residence.

A son of the late Earl Edwards and Blanche and Howard Galloway, he was a farmer, a member of the Hiseville Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Irene; two sons: Kenneth C. Edwards Jr. and his wife, Jane, of Griderville, and Jeff Edwards and his wife, Bobbi, of Glasgow; four grandchildren: Katherine Edwards of Decatur, Ill., Meghan Edwards of Griderville, Trinity Gonzalez and Morgan Edwards, both of Bowling Green; one half-brother: Wendell Edwards; two half-sisters: Bernice Chambers and Laverne Norris; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Edwards and Bernard Edwards.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV, will be in the Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Robert Leon Gravil

BOWLING GREEN — Robert Leon Gravil, 65, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at his residence.

He was the son of the late Robert Homer Gravil and Gerchin Holder Gravil.

A celebration of life service will be Sunday, Oct. 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hardy & Son Funeral Homes Inc., Bowling Green.



Felicia Kay Humphrey

GLASGOW — Felicia Kay Humphrey, 21, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Barren County.

She was the daughter of Roger (Tina) Humphrey of Glasgow and Nelda (Dewayne) Crews of Knob Lick.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in Clack Cemetery at Knob Lick. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Besides her parents, she is survived by three children: Jacob Lee Humphrey of Knob Lick, Isabella Kay Humphrey of Edmonton and Jordan Lane Humphrey of Knob Lick; one brother: James Thurman Coffey of Knob Lick; three sisters: Jessica Lee Humphrey and friend Chris Young of Glasgow, Sierra and Cayla Humphrey, both of Glasgow; paternal grandfather: Robert J. Humphrey of Glasgow; paternal grandmother: Beverly Humphrey of Glasgow; and maternal grandmother: Naomi Vibbert of Knob Lick; four uncles: Jimmy (Wanda) Vibbert of Knob Lick, Michael (Kathy) Vibbert of Greensburg, Robert and Russell Humphrey, both of Glasgow; 10 aunts: Patricia Rhinehart of Hardyville, Barbara Page of Glasgow, Gladys Rhinehart of Knob Lick, Elizabeth Burton of Knob Lick, Fonda Coomer of Edmonton, Cassandra Wilson of Knob Lick, Alice Ennis of Big Meadow, Kathy Geron of Barren County, Christina Childress and Cynthia Bailey, both of Glasgow.

Millard Coy Wilson

EDMONTON — Millard Coy Wilson, 69, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

He was the son of the late Guy and Kate Shirley Wilson. Coy, along with his late wife, Virginia, were the founders of Bel Aire Restaurant in Edmonton. Coy also owned and operated Edmonton Discount Furniture, in Edmonton, and was a member of the Edmonton City Council.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Penicks Chapel United Baptist Church where he was a member. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Shirley-Dickson Cemetery.

Coy is survived by a daughter: Darlene (Daniel) Brennan of Slidell, La.; two grandchildren: Jonie (Jeremy) Billingsley of Glasgow and Katie Brennan of Slidell; one niece and one nephew: Karen Faye Whitlow and Randy (Barbara) Harper, all of Edmonton.

Besides his parents and wife, Coy was preceded in death by two children, Gary Lynn Wilson and Cheryl Chism; and one sister, Dorthene Harper.

Catherine Wray

BURKESVILLE — Catherine Wray, 81, a resident of Cumberland Valley Manor, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2009, at the Cumberland County Hospital Emergency Room.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville with burial in Perkins Cemetery.

AUSTIN — Billy E. Calvert, 67, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Fountain Run Cemetery. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Tracy United Methodist Church.



GLASGOW — Ruby Frazier Davis, 88, died peacefully Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at the NHC Healthcare Facility and is now in heaven with her husband of 65 years, the Rev. Roy L. Davis who preceded her in death on July 19, 2009. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Poplar Log Cemetery.



GLASGOW — Joel Wayne “Pud” Read II, 31, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the funeral home.



COOKTOWN — Mary Dodd Ellis Thomas, 82, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.



GLASGOW — Mark Daniel Thompson, 37, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the funeral home.
