Kenneth C. Edwards Sr.
GRIDERVILLE — Kenneth C. Edwards Sr., 85, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, at his residence.
A son of the late Earl Edwards and Blanche and Howard Galloway, he was a farmer, a member of the Hiseville Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; two sons: Kenneth C. Edwards Jr. and his wife, Jane, of Griderville, and Jeff Edwards and his wife, Bobbi, of Glasgow; four grandchildren: Katherine Edwards of Decatur, Ill., Meghan Edwards of Griderville, Trinity Gonzalez and her husband, Jesse, and Morgan Edwards, all of Bowling Green; one half-brother: Wendell Edwards; two half-sisters: Bernice Chambers and Laverne Norris; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Edwards and Bernard Edwards.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV, will be in the Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home.

Evelyn Green
CAVE CITY — Evelyn Green, 61, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, at her sister's home in Upton.
She was the widow of Tommy Green, a member of Our Lady of Caves Catholic Church and an employee of Watermill Restaurant.
Funeral arrangements, under the direction of the Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, are incomplete at this time.
Arnold Mansfield
GLASGOW — Arnold Mansfield, 94, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
He was born in Barren County, the son of the late Clarence and Essie Matthews Mansfield. He began working at the Glasgow Post Office in 1942, moved to the Smiths Grove Post Office in 1975 and retired as Smiths Grove Postmaster on Aug. 30, 1978. Mr. Mansfield was a former elder at the Columbia Ave. Church of Christ and a member of the South Green Street Church of Christ for many years. He was also a former member of the Glasgow Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Zada Proffitt Mansfield; one son: Douglas Mansfield and wife Sheila of Hiawassee, Ga.; one daughter: Cynthia Goslee and husband Roland Kreager of Richmond, Ind.; grandchildren: Brooke Mansfield and Tamie Pritchett of Hopkinsville, Katie Goslee of Berkeley, Calif., Chad Goslee of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Daryl Wayne Mansfield; and a sister, Laverne Groce.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

GLASGOW — Felicia Kay Humphrey, 21, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Barren County. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in Clack Cemetery at Knob Lick. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
