Katrina Ford Alston
FOUNTAIN RUN — Katrina Ford Alston, 72, passed away Saturday afternoon, Oct. 17, 2009, at U of L Hospital in Louisville.
Celebration of life services for Katrina Alston will be conducted on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 20, at 3 p.m. at Glasgow Bible Church in Glasgow, with Mike Padgett officiating. Graveside services and internment will be at a later date in the Gibson Cemetery in Covington, Ga.
Visitation with the family will be Monday afternoon from 4 to 7 p.m. at the home of Charles Alston at 4263 Capitol Hill Road in Fountain Run.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Alston, of Fountain Run; daughter: Gwen Alston and her husband Richard Horvath of Fountain Run; one granddaughter: Anna and husband Dan Steeby of Olympia, Wash.; one sister: Diane Bagley of Georgia; and three nieces.
Family request memorials in the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund or Habitat for Humanity.
Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Chapel in Fountain Run.
Colonel Bailey Blair
ELK HORN — Colonel Bailey Blair, 70, formerly of Hart County, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.
He was the son of the late Colonel Blair and Lillie Mae Blair.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Blair.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today (Monday) at Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in Pearl Webb Cemetery.
Clyde Wayne Cropper
FLORA, Ind. — Clyde Wayne Cropper, 58, formerly of Gamaliel, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, in Lafayette, Ind.
He was the son of the late Willie Clyde Cropper and Ersie Ford Cropper.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel, with burial in Gamaliel Cemetery. Visitation is after 2 p.m. today (Monday) at the funeral home.

HORSE CAVE — Della Fields, 76, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at the Barren County Health Care in Glasgow.

Joseph Terrell Garrett
TELL CITY, Ind. — Joseph Terrell Garrett, 71, passed away suddenly Saturday morning, Oct. 17, 2009, in his hometown of Tell City, Ind.
Terrell was born April 2, 1938, and raised in Park City, the son of the late Grace Rigsby Garrett and Joseph L. Garrett. Paternal grandparents were the late Roy and Ruby Garrett and maternal grandparents were the late Sanford and Edie Rigsby.
He was a 1956 graduate of Park City High School, attended a culinary arts college in Houston, Texas, where he received a degree and became a professional chef.
He is survived by his wife Lorna, two sons: Scott Garrett and his wife Gloria of Golden, Colo., Stephen Garrett of Chicago, Ill.; two daughters: Toni Garrett of Montevecchia, Italy and her fiance, Jon Dillon and Melayna Garrett of Chicago, Ill. He is also survived by three grandsons and one granddaughter. Locally, Terrell is survived by a brother, Royce Garrett and his wife Etta Jane; two sisters: Audrey Wilson and her husband Leroy, and Freida Holder and her husband Gary.
Viewing will be Tuesday from 3 until 8 p.m. (EST) and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. (EST) at the Zoecher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City, Ind. It was Terrell’s wish to be cremated and his ashes spread on Lake Cumberland, his favorite vacation location, where his daughter owns a cabin.

Virginia Nell Meredith
BOWLING GREEN — Virginia Nell Meredith, 81, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, in Bowling Green.
She was the daughter of the late Fred Parrish and Sadie Garmon Parrish. Survivors include her husband, Jesse Meredith, M.D., of Bowling Green.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Kenneth Ray Pulliam Sr.
GLASGOW — Kenneth Ray Pulliam Sr., 69, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at his residence.
Born in Metcalfe County, he was the son of the late Oliver Lee Pulliam and Oma Walden Pulliam. Mr. Pulliam served in the U.S. Army National Guard and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 5906 of Glasgow.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hill Pulliam of Glasgow; a daughter: Rita Pulliam (Ron Stone) of Lenore, W.V.; a son: Kenny Pulliam (Emily) of Glasgow; three step-sons: Michael Shanks (Julie), John Shanks and Thomas Shanks (Amanda), all of Central City; five grandchildren: Ashley Morris (Roy) of Naugatuck, W.V., James Stone of Lenore, W.V., Angelia Pulliam, Savannah Scott and Logan Anderson, all of Glasgow; a brother: Curtis Pulliam (Sue) of Hope, Ind.; a sister-in-law: Linda Pulliam of Wiley, Texas. Four nieces, five nephews, several great-nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Chester Pulliam, David Pulliam and Eddie Burgess.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Price O’Neal Qualls
MUNFORDVILLE — Price O’Neal Qualls, 76, passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at his home.
He was the son of the late James Hollis Qualls and Pearlie Mae Fults Qualls. He was a retired plumber, a member of the Mount Beulah Methodist Church and a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean conflict.
He is survived by one son: Randy Qualls of Munfordville; one daughter: Robin Qualls of Munfordville; special friend: Marcella Qualls Cox; one brother: James Lawson Qualls of Morrison, Tenn.; two sisters: Carrie Bea Smart and Inez Qualls, both of McMinnville, Tenn.; two grandchildren: April Dawn Bryant and Logan Neal Qualls. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki.
Funeral services for Price Qualls will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in Mount Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

BROWNSVILLE — David Bryan Walker, 62, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, in Bowling Green.
He was the son of the late Harold Leon Walker and Nita Walker, of Bowling Green, who survives.
Other survivors include his wife, Linda Walker.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Brownsville Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel.
