Marcus Elmore Bellamy Jr.

BOWLING GREEN — Marcus Elmore Bellamy Jr., 75, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at Greenview Regional Medical Center in Bowling Green.

He was a son of the late Marcus Elmore Sr. and Elsie Shives Bellamy and a member of the Mount Moriah Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by a niece, Brenda (Gene) Crumpton of Summer Shade; and one nephew, Jimmy Welsh of Summer Shade; one great-niece, Christina Arnett of Summer Shade; and two great-nephews, Jason (Jessica) Ballard of Tompkinsville and Nathan Crumpton of Summer Shade. Five great-great-nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Welsh.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, Summer Shade, with burial in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.



Della Jane Fields

HORSE CAVE — Della Jane Fields, 76, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at Barren County Health Care Center in Glasgow.

Born in Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Rollin D. and Mollie Bragg Wilson and wife of the late Buford Fields. Mrs. Fields was a homemaker and member of the Prices Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter: Linda Sexton (Danny) of Hiseville; two grandchildren: Daniel Sexton (Shannon) and Bonita Eudy (Scotty), both of Glasgow; five great-grandchildren: Kristen and Lindsey Garmon, Parker, and Ethan and Amelia Sexton, all of Glasgow; three step-great-grandchildren: Jeremiah, Quinton and Allijah Eudy, all of Glasgow; three brothers: Carlos Wilson of Cave City, Chester Wilson of Glasgow and Clarence Junior Wilson of Horse Cave; one sister: Marie Riley of Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Davis and Demmon Wilson; two sisters, Dorothy Judd and Lois Russell.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at the funeral home.

Joey Dean Crain Sr.

HORSE CAVE — Joey Dean Crain Sr., 38, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, in Upton.

He is the son of Delbert Dean Crain (Dorothy), of Horse Cave, and Fonda Bryant Smith of Munfordville. Other survivors include his wife, Amanda Adcock Crain.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Brooks funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in Crain Family Cemetery, Horse Cave.



Sylvia Esters

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Sylvia Esters, originally from Horse Cave, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009.

She was the daughter of the late Irene and Bill McClellan.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Esters, of Birmingham.

A memorial service was Monday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Trussville. Burial will be in the Horse Cave Cemetery on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to First Baptist Church Trussville, Building Fund, 128 N. Chalkville Road, Trussville, AL 35173.

Winn Funeral Home, Horse Cave, is in charge of local arrangements.



Emily Elizabeth King

BONNIEVILLE — Emily Elizabeth King, 84, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at Barren County Health Care Center in Glasgow.

She was the daughter of the late George Priest and the late Mary Tennyson Priest, and wife of the late Ted King.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in Munfordville Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.



Willie R. Ogles

GLASGOW — Willie R. Ogles, 84, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

Arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.

FOUNTAIN RUN — Katrina Ford Alston, 72, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at U of L Hospital in Louisville. Celebration of life services will be conducted today (Tuesday) at 3 p.m. at Glasgow Bible Church in Glasgow. Graveside services and internment will be at a later date in the Gibson Cemetery in Covington, Ga. The family requests memorials be made to the Gideon Bible Fund or Habitat for Humanity. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughes Funeral Chapel in Fountain Run.



TELL CITY, Ind. — Joseph Terrell Garrett, 71, passed away suddenly Saturday morning, Oct. 17, 2009, in his hometown of Tell City, Ind. Viewing will be today (Tuesday) from 3 until 8 p.m. (EST) and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. (EST) at the Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City, Ind. It was Terrell’s wish to be cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or charity of your choice.



BOWLING GREEN — Virginia Nell Meredith, 81, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, in Bowling Green. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. today (Tuesday), and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter, Kaden Tower 6100 Dutchmans Lane, St. 401, Louisville, KY 40205-3284.



GLASGOW — Kenneth Ray Pulliam Sr., 69, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the funeral home.



MUNFORDVILLE — Price O’Neal Qualls, 76, passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in Mount Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Tuesday) from 4 to 9 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.



BROWNSVILLE — David Bryan Walker, 62, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, in Bowling Green. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Brownsville Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. today (Tuesday) and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel.
