Larry James Campbell
HEPHZIBAH, Ga. — Larry James Campbell, 66, passed away Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at home.
He was born in Louisville, on Jan. 22, 1943, the son of the late Dorine Higgs Campbell and Frank Campbell. Mr. Campbell was retired from the United States Air Force after serving 20 years. He was a civil servant at the Pentagon office for several years. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his loving wife, Selma Michelle Campbell of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; father, Frank and his wife, Mary Campbell; daughter, Debbie Daigle; three sons: David and wife Julie Anne Campbell, Jason and Stephen Campbell, all of Georgia; one sister: Carolyn Mitchell, and one brother, Michael and wife Nancy Campbell, all of Kentucky; four grandchildren: Keith and April Moore, Christopher and Christina Campbell and Tina, their mother, also of Georgia; two step-grandchildren: Luther and Raven McNeese; one stepson: James E. McNeese II and wife Renee McNeese; one stepbrother: Richard and wife Eve Mayers; his uncle, Oval and wife Beulah Higgs, and Judy Campbell, the mother of his children; and several cousins and friends.
Funeral arrangements are 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home, Leitchfield, with burial at Layman Memorial Garden. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and continue on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of the service.
Mr. Campbell proudly displayed the American flag at his home and found a duty and honor to have served his country.
Memorial services will follow at St. Joseph’s Church in Augusta, Ga.
Andrew Joseph Carson
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Andrew Joseph Carson, 31, born Dec. 22, 1977 – died Nov. 15, 2009.
Andrew succumbed after a valiant 13 year struggle with Lupus. His friendly smile and helpful and loving nature will be missed by all who knew him. He was a long-time employee of Joe A. Carson & Associates where he was the administrative manager and a certified QuickBooks Proadvisor. Andrew graduated from Page High School in 1996; and attended Columbia Community College, Western Kentucky University and Kaplan University.
He is preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Myrtle Carson; maternal grandfather, Howard Bowman Sr.; and sister, Susan Carson.
He is survived by father, Joe Carson; mother, Sharon Bowman Ridley, originally from Glasgow; stepfather, Steve Ridley; sister, Julie Campbell and husband, Jeremy; nieces, Makenzie Carson and Brylee Campbell; stepsister, Stephanie Ridley; stepbrothers, Justin and Robert Ridley; paternal grandfather, Lewis Carson; maternal grandmother, Karene Bowman, from Glasgow; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road, by Mark Bowman, Rick Russell, Don Carson and friends. Interment will be in Nolensville Cemetery.
Active pallbearers: Wesley Buchannan; Justin Ridley, Roger Thomas; Jeremy Campbell, Matthew Andrews, Seth Carson, William Healy Jr., Prentice Hyler and Jason Bowman.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation, 4004 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville, TN 37215. Visitation is today (Tuesday), 3-8 p.m. and Wednesday 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel.
Harold Franklin Conner
SCOTTSVILLE — Harold Franklin Conner, 73, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at his residence.
The Scottsville native was a farmer and member of Shady Grove General Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Lewie Jackson Conner and Zelma Launa Spencer Conner.
He is survived by three daughters: Marcella Conner, Nancy Stubblefield and Cindy Wright, all of Scottsville; his companion: Dianna Wade, Scottsville; a special companion: his dog, Sparky; one brother: Roland Conner and his wife, Geneva, Scottsville; three sisters: Callie Mae Corder and Louise Hinton, both of Scottsville; Mable Harmon, North Carolina; one sister-in-law: Oretha Conner, Chattanooga, Tenn.; five grandchildren: Jennifer Houchens, Jessica Key, Timmy Parsons, Ashley Parsons and Danielle Polson; five great-grandchildren: Destiny Houchens, Trenton Houchens, Landon Key, Dalton Houchens and Logan Knight; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: Lewie Conner, Oscar Conner, Edgar Conner and Odean Conner.
Funeral services for Harold Franklin Conner will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at Goad Funeral Home with Brother Mike Johns and Brother Kimble Willoughby officiating and burial in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Goad Funeral Home.

Mary Kincheloe Franklin
WILMINGTON, N.C. — Beloved, honored and respected wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Nov. 6, 2009, in Wilmington, N.C.
Born on Aug. 30, 1911, in Glasgow, Barren County, she was the daughter of Kate and Oscar Kincheloe and the beloved wife of Sam H. Franklin.
She is survived by her son, Samuel C. Franklin and his wife, Louise; her grandson, Dr. Samuel C. Franklin Jr. and his wife Pringle; and her granddaughter, Mary F. Baldwin and her husband Alan; and five great-grandsons, Clay, Benton and Baker Franklin and Will and Campbell Baldwin, plus numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a long-standing member of Belmont Heights Baptist Church, Nashville, and a member of the Alathean Sunday School class. She was active in the Oak Valley Garden Club and the Junior Woman’s Club of Nashville.
Mary’s priorities, God, family and country, were exemplified throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives were touched by hers, especially the lives of her family.
Services were conducted by Dr. Frank D. Hawkins, First Baptist Church, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home in Wilmington, N.C. She is buried with her family in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery, Glasgow. Graveside services were Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
