GLASGOW – Julia E. Froedge, 92, died Monday Nov. 23, 2009, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital.
Her arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
Ada Goad
GLASGOW – Ada Goad, 92, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow.
Born in Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Shirley F. and Anna Belle Goode Davidson and wife of the late James Oliver Goad. Mrs. Goad was a former beautician and later retired from Handmachers in Glasgow.
She is survived by her son, Mike Goad (Pam) of Glasgow; a brother, Tommy Davidson (Wanda) of Glasgow; a sister, Shirley Ann Harlow (Dickie) of Glasgow; two step-grandchildren, Nicole Pursley (Jarrod) and Leslie Spillman (Brent); a step-great-grandson, Tate Spillman; three sisters-in-law, Kathleen Davidson, Melba Davidson and Nell Davidson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Randal Goad and four brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert, Willie, Edwin and Wallace Davidson (Juanita).
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Jack Lynn Hurt
EDMONTON – Jack Lynn Hurt, 62, died Sunday Nov. 22, 2009, at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville. He is survived by his wife, Patty Hurt of Edmonton. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Kelton Shane Stockton
GLASGOW – Kelton Shane Stockton, 32, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital as a result of a automobile accident.
Born in Barren County, he was a primary lineman for ACK in Glasgow and a member of the Loving Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Crabtree Stockton; one son, Keiran Stockton, and one daughter, Trinity Stockton, both at home; his mother, Dorietta Stivers of Bowling Green; three brothers: Jamie Stockton of Lexington, Joey Stockton and wife Amy of Glasgow, and Eric Stockton of Cave City; one sister, Erica Stockton of Bowling Green; one aunt, Barbara Garnett of Cave City; one uncle, Kerry Stockton and wife Henrietta of Cave City; mother-in-law Debbie Emmitt and husband Jimmy of Glasgow; one sister-in-law, Christy Barlow and husband Derek; two brothers-in-law, Shane Crabtree and Mack Crabtree and wife Denise, all of Campbellsville; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Stockton will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Bearwallow Cemetery in Hart County. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at the funeral home.
