Julia Evelyn Froedge

GLASGOW – Julia Evelyn Froedge, 92, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

She was born in Barren County, the daughter of the late Jerry and Eve Jane Davis Hoover. Mrs. Froedge was an employee of Doctors Clifton Follis and Eugene Marion until her retirement. She was an original member of the B&PW; Club and a lifelong member of the Glasgow First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Egie Landers of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Doug Landers and wife Melissa of Glasgow, Sheila Steenbergen and husband Larry of Cave City and Sharon Kaye Roberts and husband Jeff of Illinois; six great-grandchildren, J.D. Steenbergen, Sara Lane Matthews (Jason), Trey, Mallory and Alexander Landers and Kaitlan Norrod; and one great-great grandchild, Zoe Grace Matthews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hughie O. Froedge; an infant son, Eddie Wesley Froedge; a brother, J. Less Hoover; three sisters, Ollie Davis, Maudie Peden and Edna Steenbergen; and a son-in-law, Vernon Landers.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at the Glasgow First Presbyterian Church with burial in Refuge Cemetery at Eighty Eight. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 200 E. Washington St., Glasgow, KY 42141.

Jimmy Lee Pedigo

PARK CITY – Jimmy Lee Pedigo, 51, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at his home.

He was the son of the late Claudie Pedigo and Aline Pedigo of Bowling Green, who survives.

Survivors also include his longtime companion, Jayne Green, of Park City.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Broadway Chapel of J.C. Kirby and Son Funeral Home in Bowling Green with burial in Neal Cemetery in Flippin. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.



Christopher Wade Ross

SMITHS GROVE – Christopher Wade Ross, 47, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.

Born in Louisville, Ky., he was a retired supervisor with the U.S. Postal Service and member of the Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Munfordville, Ky.

Survivors include his mother, Rosemary Jaggers Ross of Smiths Grove; father, William C. Ross of Louisville; two brothers, Brian Ross of Glasgow and Anthony Ross of Louisville.

Visitation for Mr. Ross will be on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

Donald Lovon Walker

GLASGOW – Donald Lovon Walker, 57, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at his residence.

He was born in Monroe County, the son of the late Fonace and Bessie Strode Walker. Mr. Walker was retired from U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Dickerson Walker; two daughters, Michelle Pryor (Joe) of Kansas and Lisa Robbins (Sean) of Missouri; a son, Donald Bryan Walker of Kansas; four grandchildren, Brady and Wyatt Pryor, Chloe Robbins and Bailey Walker; and two aunts, Ina Botts of Tompkinsville and Julia Mesker of Glasgow.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wendell and Jerry Walker, and two sisters, Nellie and Chloe Walker.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 25, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Brown Cemetery in Monroe County. Military honors will be provided by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Franklin Morris Wright

TOMPKINSVILLE – Franklin Morris Wright, 71, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

He was the son of the late Dewey Wright and Jewell Kringel Wright and husband of the late Alva Dean Golden Wright.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial in Moss Cemetery in Moss, Tenn. Visitation is after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Moss Cemetery.

GLASGOW – Ada Goad, 92, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow.

Born in Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Shirley F. and Anna Belle Goode Davidson and wife of the late James Oliver Goad. Mrs. Goad was a former beautician and later retired from Handmachers in Glasgow. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.



EDMONTON – Jack Lynn Hurt, 62, died Sunday Nov. 22, 2009, at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens.



GLASGOW – Kelton Shane Stockton, 32, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital as a result of a automobile accident. Funeral services for Mr. Stockton will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Bearwallow Cemetery in Hart County. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at the funeral home.
