Moena England Sadler

GAMALIEL — Moena England Sadler, age 89, of Glasgow, passed away Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, in Glasgow.

She was born in Monroe County, Ky., on November 13, 1920 to the late Barton Dewey England and Laura Hannah Hall England. She was the widow of Clovis Clark Sadler who died November 8, 1991. She was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. She and her husband were co-owners of WGGC Radio Station in Glasgow for many years.

She is survived by one son Reggie Sadler of Gamaliel, one daughter Judy Sadler of Glasgow, a son-in-law Jackie Lee Carter of Glasgow, three grandchildren Matthew Lohner of Springville, TN, Nathan Sadler of Gamaliel, Anthony Sadler of Glasgow and a step grandson John Carter.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Elaine Sadler Carter.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 30 at 1 PM at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with burial in the Neal Cemetery in Monroe County.

Friends may call at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel after 1 p.m. on Sunday

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.



Glenn Jones

HISEVILLE — Glenn Jones, 58, Hiseville, died Friday, November 27, 2009, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A son of the late Claud W. Jones and Grace Craighead Jones, he was a farmer and a member of the Hiseville Baptist Church.

Survivors include two brothers, Robert (Patricia) Jones of Louisville and William (Diane) Jones of Hiseville; one brother-in-law, Robbie Ward of Uno; 5 nephews, Jeff (Tammy) Jones, Chad Jones and Adam Jones all of Hiseville, Doug (Genelle) Jones of Temple Hill and Josh (Megan) Jones of Sulphur Well; one niece, Melanie Brook Ward of Uno; 4 great-nieces and nephews, Ally, Jagger, Emi and Ella Jones; one uncle, Charles E. Jones of Glasgow; three aunts, Maymie Spillman of Griderville, Emma Lou Jones of Hiseville and Jeanne Craighead of Cave City; special friend, Doris Warf of Hiseville; Doris’ children, Glen (Leann) Warf of Edmonton, Todd (Naomi) Warf and Steve Warf all of Hiseville; Doris’ grandchildren, Renee Buckley, Brandon Warf, Will Warf, Brett Warf, Cole Warf, Tabitah Taylor, Autumn Warf and Tyler Warf; her great-grandchildren, Alexia Bush and Luke Manning; along with several cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Jones Ward.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
