Gary Steven Davidson
GLASGOW — Gary Steven Davidson, 59, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at his home.
The Barren County native was the son of the late Stanley A. and Evelyn Steenbergen Davidson. Gary was retired from RR Donnelley & Sons, enjoyed farming, was an avid Western Kentucky University fan and spent his spare time traveling across the United States on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Murlene Grider Davidson; two sons: Brian Davidson and wife Patti and Brandon Davidson, all of Bowling Green; his special grandson: Riley Locke (Pop-Pop’s sidekick); one sister: Kim Paige (David Jewell) of Glasgow; three aunts: Evelyn Davidson of Nashville, Dorothy Davidson of Franklin and Ruth Toms of Park City; an uncle: Frankie Steenbergen of Louisville; and several cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Mary Steenbergen and Walter and Myrtie Davidson.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Jackie R. Alexander
KODAK, Tenn. — Jackie R. Alexander, 77, passed away on Dec. 4, 2009, at St. Mary’s Residential Hospice in Knoxville, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Andrew and Josie Houchens Alexander.
Survivors include his wife, DeEtte Alexander of Kodak.
Services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Rawlings Funeral Home, in Sevierville, with minister Al Behel officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.

GLASGOW — Betty J. Gantz, 84, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow.

Shelby Jean Green
GLASGOW — Shelby Jean Green, 72, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow.
She was born in Barren County, the daughter of the late Buford and Alice Green. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Joe B. Wood and Forester Ray Green.
Mrs. Green was a homemaker and a member of Hanging Fork Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son: Dennis Wood and wife Shelia of Glasgow; two grandchildren: Daniel and Justin Wood; a great-granddaughter: Hailey Wood; a sister: Mary Holman of Smiths Grove; and a niece: Doris Key of Glasgow.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Henderson Cemetery at Finney. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Survivors include her husband, Timmy Young of Edmonton.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today (Monday) at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
