William Alfred Hill

GLASGOW — William Alfred Hill, 62, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

He was the son of the late Virgie Huff Norris. He was attending Gethsemane Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hill of Glasgow; four sons: Darrell Hill (Carol), William “Bill” Joe Hill (Jessica), Robert Hill and Jordan Hill, all of Glasgow; two daughters: Teresa Hill Lackey (David) and Callie Hill Jackson (Joe Dale), all of Glasgow; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Robert McClusky; and his grandparents, Hester and Dee Huff.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with Brother Paul Davidson officiating. Burial will be in Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 noon Tuesday at the funeral home.

Richard Lynn ‘Ricky’ Minor

CAVE CITY — Richard Lynn “Ricky” Minor, 53, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at U of L Hospital, Louisville, after a brief illness.

He was the son of the late Floyd Roger Minor and Sylvia Oliver Minor, Munfordville, who survives him. He was a musician on Guntown Mountain for 31 years and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Rachel Rountree Minor, Cave City; two sons: Chris Minor, Horse Cave, and Michael Minor, Glasgow; a daughter: Renee (John) Grissom, Cave City; two sisters: Connie (Hardy) Harlow, Park City, and Kathy (Chuck) Templeman, Munfordville; a grandchild: Logan Grissom; and a step-grandchild, Jonathan Grissom.

Funeral services, with the Rev. Chuck Templeman officiating, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec.. 16, at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Wilma D. Williams

GLASGOW — Wilma D. Williams, 75, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at her home.

She was born in Monroe County, the daughter of the late Merritt O. Harlan and Dorothy Jones Harlan and was the wife of the late Omar Williams. She was a former employee of Watson’s where she worked in the men’s department and was also a caregiver. She was a member of South Green Street Church of Christ. Mrs. Williams was a loving mother and grandmother and took a special interest in her grandchildren and their activities. She also loved her church and enjoyed cooking.

She is survived by two daughters: Charlotte Beals and husband Lynn of Glasgow, and Kathy Waller and husband Steve of Lexington; a son: Michael Williams and wife Kathy of Glasgow; eight grandchildren: Catherine and Campbell Beals, William Bryant, Zed Williams, Emily Eve, Mary Alice Williams and Ashley and Alex Waller; one brother: Hugh E. Harlan and wife Robbie of Tompkinsville; a sister: Jean Carter and husband Julius of Louisville; and three sisters-in-law: Opal Bradley (Boyd) of Glasgow, Otia Bradley (Lynn) of Frankfort, Ind., and Wanda Harlan of Tompkinsville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Sue Williams; and a brother, Richard E. Harlan.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Kathy Morrison

SUMMER SHADE — Kathy Morrison, 52, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, at the UK Hospital in Lexington.

Arrangements are incomplete, but under the direction of Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton.



Robert L. Wallace

GLASGOW — Robert L. Wallace, 79, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at his home.

He was the son of the late Theodore and Callie Pettie Wallace. He was the owner of Wallace Landscaping and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include two sons: Mark (Jennifer) Wallace of Smithville, Tenn., and Pat (Beverly) Wallace of Murfreesboro; one daughter: Callie Wallace of Jackson, Tenn.; four grandchildren: Jessica and Julie Wallace of Memphis, Spencer and McCullough Wallace of Smithville.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. at the Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, Tenn., with burial in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
