Lou Magdalene Richardson Smith
GLASGOW — Lou Magdalene Richardson Smith, 71, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
She was the daughter of the late Otis and Nettie Barlow.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
She is survived by one daughter: Vickie Carter and companion Jeff Shirley of Edmonton; four sons: Randy Richardson of Glasgow, Terry and wife Renee Richardson of Edmonton, James Garland (Dwiddle) and wife Tammy Twyman of Summer Shade, Gary Wayne Richardson and companion Stacy Poteet of Horse Cave; one sister: Joyce and husband Robert Driver of Glasgow; four brothers: Billy and JD Barlow of Summer Shade, Fred and wife Patty Barlow of Eighty Eight, Leroyce and wife Linda Barlow of Edmonton, Tim Barlow and companion Denise Scott of Edmonton; a sister-in-law: Murrell Crenshaw of Knob Lick. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Willie Lee Twyman, Jessie (Putt) Richardson and Robert Lewis Smith; a son: Gregory Lynn Richardson; and a brother, Ollie Franklin.

Molly E. Thompson
CENTER — Molly E. Thompson, 17, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, as a result of an automobile accident.
Molly was the daughter of Tommy and Beth Thompson of Sulphur Well; a member of Sulphur Well United Methodist Church; a senior at Barren County High School and an employee of the Lighthouse Restaurant.
Besides her parents, Molly is survived by a brother, Lane Thompson, and a sister, Leah Thompson; her grandparents, Forrest and Ella Lee Wilson and Clifton and Linda Thompson. Also surviving is an uncle, Greg Wilson, and his children, Luke, Emma and Cole; and an aunt, Jackie Goodson and her children, Jordan and Michael; a great-grandmother, Magdline Wilson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Verlon and Magdalene Thompson, Leon and Mildred London, Charles and Gladys Blaydes, Earl and Doris Oliver and Earl Wilson.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton, with funeral services at 2 p.m. Sunday, with burial to follow in the Hubbard Cemetery.

LOUISVILLE — James Hughes Kingrey, 64, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, at University of Louisville Hospital from injuries sustained in an accident on Dec. 12. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, Glasgow, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV at the cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. today (Friday) at the funeral home.
GLASGOW — Zada Proffitt Mansfield, 91, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Services will be 12 p.m. Saturday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Friday) from 5 until 8 p.m. and Saturday morning until time for the service.
PAOLI, Ind. — Ruby Alice Proffitt, 96, formerly of Glasgow and Tompkinsville, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at Paoli Health and Living in Paoli, Ind. Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with burial in Isenberg Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Isenberg Cemetery.
