Joanne Barned
GLASGOW – Joanne Barned, 80, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was born in Louisville, the daughter of the late Miles Thacker and the late Irene Hungate Thacker. Mrs. Barned was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Ron Barned, of Glasgow; four daughters, Lisa Kinslow and husband Marty, of Glasgow, Linda Bell, of Glasgow, Pat Dyer and husband Johnny, of Glasgow, and Rhonda Kelly, of Colorado; one son, Greg Barned, of Colorado. A special grandchild, Kyle Curtsinger and his girlfriend, Tonya Huff, of Glasgow; 14 grandchildren, Alison Catron and husband Chris, Sarah Beckham and husband Wesley, Wes Kinslow and wife Jill, Ben Bell, Amber Bell, Chad Fisher, Luke Fisher, Felicia Fisher and husband Jacob, all of Glasgow, Mike McKenzie, of Louisville, Susannah Neighbors, Nolen Neighbors, of Georgia, Bethany Barned and Brianne Barned, all of Colorado, and Amy Dyer, of Louisville. Several great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Pam Neighbors, also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Neighbors and Ronnie Barned; and one sister, Diane Mitchem.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 15, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday after 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lonnie Jessie
HISEVILLE – Lonnie Jessie, 71, of Hiseville, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at his residence. A native of Metcalfe County, he was a son of the late Charlie and Polly Ballard Jessie. He was an installer of aluminum siding and had been attending the Samson Street Church of God.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela Ramsey and companion Chris Page, of Hiseville; six grandchildren, Charly Ramsey, Josh Ramsey, Dakota Jessie and companion Hillary, Tyler Jessie and companion Jenn, Sierra Jessie, and Kylin Spencer; six great-grandchildren, Isaiah Ramsey, Zoe Ramsey, Jayvin Jessie, McKenzie Vaughn, Kierra Vaughn, and Cheyenne Perkins; five brothers, Pete Jessie and wife Florence, of Hiseville, Leslie Jessie and wife Barbara and Joe B. Jessie and companion Jenny, all of Louisville, Johnny Jessie and wife Betty and Raymond Jessie and wife Jean, all of Glasgow; three sisters, Nina Pearl Young, of Kokomo, Ind., Mattie Tatham and Nora Spencer, both of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Marie Pennington Jessie; one son, Lonnie Paul Jessie; one grandson, Billy Paul Ramsey; two brothers, Charles Jessie and James Jessie; two sisters, Kathleen Martin and Pauline Morgan.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

SHELBYVILLE – Christine King Porter, 91, of Shelbyville, and formerly of Scottsville, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville. The Macon County, Tenn. native was a daughter of the late Carl Edgar King and Gertrude Weems King and wife of the late Harry Jennings Porter, Jr.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Goad Funeral Home, with Brother Shane Britt and Shirley Creasy officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Mae Dean Webb Thigpen
LINDSEYVILLE – Mae Dean Webb Thigpen, 81, of Lindseyville, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Reverend Gilbert Leonard Webb and Virginia Elizabeth Webb and the wife of the late Carl Ryals Thigpen Jr.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15 from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, March 16, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 16 at 11 a.m. at Midway United Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

Rondal Sandidge Watson
KNOB LICK – Rondal Sandidge Watson, 68, of Knob Lick, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was the son of the late Henry and Amanda Sandidge Watson. Rondal was retired from General Telephone of Kentucky, owner of Watson Photography, a member of the Wisdom Faith Community Church and an Air Force veteran. Rondal was united in marriage Dec. 22, 1972 to Jo Ann Edwards Watson, who survives.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Christy and husband Jeff Crawford, of Glasgow, Amy and husband Tim Hogue, of Bowling Green; three grandchildren, Cody and Cameron Crawford and Brayden Hogue; one brother, Lane Watson, of Edmonton; three sisters, Helen Puckett, of Tennessee, Barbara Barton, of Edmonton and Sylvia Voakes, of Bowling Green. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Orville Watson.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton, with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
