Jesse James Craine
PARK CITY – Jesse James Craine, 66, of Park City, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in Louisville.
He was born in Barren County to the late Silas Richard and Velma Dennis Craine and was the husband of Mary Lindsey Craine. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for the National Park Service, a Vietnam Marine veteran, a member of Bear Wallow Masonic Lodge and attended Fairview United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lindsey Craine, of Park City; two daughters, Nikkie Craine Warren (Jesse), of Austin, and Jessica Craine, of Cave City; two step-sons, Jason Thomas (Veronica), of Park City, and Justin Malone (Tracee), of Franklin; three granddaughters, Shyann Thomas, Haley Warren and Jessa Warren; one brother, George Craine (Regina), of Horse Cave; five sisters, Frankie Gossett (Doug), of Horse Cave, Beulah Brown (Ricky), of Park City, Marsha Glass (Roger), of Munfordville, Shirley Reynolds (Anthony), of Park City, and Barbara Sturgeon, of Cave City; and a sister-in-law, Mae Alderman (David), of Elmira, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Christina Craine and three brothers, Jerry, J.R. and Michael Craine.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 15, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Patton Funeral Home, Park City Chapel. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at the Patton Funeral Home, Park City Chapel, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery with military graveside service.

Nora Maxine Paul
BROWNSVILLE — Nora Maxine Paul, 81, of Brownsville, died at 3 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky Center in Bowling Green.
The Barren County native was a waitress and attended Brownsville General Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Earl Woodcock and Ola Fay Blair and the wife of the late Harold Denzil Paul. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Carroll.
Surviving are a daughter, Gwina Campbell (Gregory Shanks), of Bowling Green; a son, Doug Paul, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Barbara Jones (Jimmy), of Louisville; and five grandchildren, Bradley Chadwick, Travis Chadwick, John Campbell, Sabrina Campbell and Zackery Paul.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 18, at Gravil Funeral Home, with burial in Sweeden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Alice Marie Bean Rhoton
TOMPKINSVILLE – Alice Marie Bean Rhoton, 86, of Tompkinsville, passed away Wednesday, March 13, at Skyline Medical Center, in Nashville, Tenn.
Marie was born in Clay County, Tenn., on May 21, 1926. She was the daughter of the late, Sidney Stanton and Martha Alice (Browning) Bean.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Cornell Rhoton. They married Sept. 11, 1945, in the Mount Gilead Community at Tol Phemister’s home. She graduated from Gamaliel High School in 1944. She was a member of Corinth Church of Christ.
Marie is survived by a daughter, Judy Ross and her husband, Larry Tim, of Tompkinsville; two sons, Terry Rhoton, of Alavton, and Jeffrey Rhoton and his wife Windy, of Hendersonville, Tenn. Marie is also survived by six grandchildren, Tim Ross, Mark Ross, Jon Ross, April Pritchett, Eric Rhoton and Simeon Rhoton and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Ova Wright, Estelle Armer, Hazel Hakinson, Allie Reheis, Dossie King, Haley Peterson, Ruth Grace, Ruby Bouffard, Cena Jane Bean; her brothers, Millard Bransford Bean, James Bean, Duel Bean and Elmore Bean; and her daughter-in-law, Janie Hale Rhoton.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, at 1 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home with Stewart Tarter officiating. Visitation is in progress and will continue on Friday, from 6 a.m. to1 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial is in the Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
Ervin Rountree
BOWLING GREEN — Ervin Rountree, 86, of Bowling Green, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 6:42 a.m. at Alvin C. York Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
He was born in Rocky Hill, in Edmonson County, on March 15, 1926. He was the son of the late William Bradley and Iva Mamie House Rountree.
He is also preceded in death by a son, William Rountree; a daughter, Patricia Stifler; and his sisters, Alene Kirk and Antha Boston.
He served in the United States Army during World War II, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement in ground combat. He was wounded on the Rhine River. He also served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the Three Springs Road Baptist Church, and a member of Ormond Beach Masonic Lodge # 326 in Florida, the Scottish Rite and the Bahie Shrine Temple, both in Orlando, Fla. He was a life member of the DAV, American Legion Post # 23, and the Moose Lodge. He worked as a truck driver for Houchen’s Industries before moving to Florida, then as a Veterinarian’s Assistant for Dr. James Townsend, of Ormond Beach, Fla.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joy Ann Simmons Rountree, of Bowling Green; his daughter, Elaine Roberts and her husband Buck, of Hadley; sister, Irene Thompson, of Frankfort; brothers, Jesse M. Rountree and wife Louise, of Hodgenville, and James Ernest Rountree and wife Loretta, of Shepherdsville; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel, with burial in the Rocky Hill Masonic Cemetery with military honors. A Masonic service will be 7 p.m. Saturday.
Jennie Mae Woods
GLASGOW – Jennie Mae Woods, 96, of Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital where the physicians and nurses extended her the kindest of care.
She was born in 1916 in Barren County, the daughter of the late Bulford and Virgie Rigney Mizell. She was a former resident of Louisville and retired from Enro Shirt Company. She was a member of Community Church of God.
Jennie was beloved by her family and friends that will always cherish her hugs and memories filled with laughter. Her greatest legacy was her family whom she loved with all her heart.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Strange and husband Elvin, of Shepherdsville, Evelyn Oliver and husband Bernice, of Glasgow; one son, Clifton Woods and wife Barbara, of Louisville; four grandchildren, Paulette Kennedy, of Shepherdsville, Kathy Hough and husband Bill, of Indiana, Todd Oliver and wife Sharon, of Glasgow, and Nina Beck and husband Joe, of Louisville; nine great-grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren, and two great-great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her adoring husband, Willie Woods; five brothers, William, Glen, Charlie, Mitchell, John Ish Mizell; and two sisters, Leonna and Lola Mizell.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Popular Log Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.
