June Mathews
GLASGOW – June Mathews, 86, of Glasgow, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at her home.
She was born in Glasgow the daughter of the late William Watson and Helen Mansfield Wilkinson. Mrs. Mathews was a homemaker and a former employee of Handmacher in Glasgow. She was a member of the Siloam Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Leroy Mathews; four sons, Larry Mathews (Carolyn Estes), Kelly Mathews (Nancy) and Terry Mathews (Vickie), all of Glasgow, and Tracy Mathews (Mary Anne), of Lawrenceburg; eight grandchildren, Stacy Mathews (Joe B. Bettersworth), Chris Mathews (Tarah), Sandra Mathews, Steve Mathews (Susan), Melissa Mathews (Jeremy Logsdon), Justin Mathews (Jennifer), Brian Mathews (Lillie) and Wendy Sexton (Rusty); six great-grandchildren, Daphna Sexton (Jeremy), Logan Mathews, Mica McKenzie Bettersworth, Riley Jo Mathews, Layla Grayce Mathews, and Mara June Sexton; one great-great-grandchild Kelton Ladd and one brother, Jesse Wilkinson, of Texas. She was also survived by four special caregivers, Roberta Emmitt, Karen Kinslow, Marquitta Bunnell and Brenda Thomas.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Dale Mathews and her sister, Mae Matthews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Donnie Ray Sturgeon
BONNIEVILLE – Donnie Ray Sturgeon, 63, of Bonnieville, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at his home. He was a son of the late Ernest and Nellie Carter Sturgeon.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Sturgeon.
Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Bonnieville Union Church, with Brother Timmy Capps officiating. Burial will be in Center Point Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon at the church.
Gary Lee Thompson
CAVE CITY – Gary Lee Thompson, 57, of Cave City, died at 3:25 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Caverna Memorial Hospital E.R.
He was born in Monroe County,. He was preceded in death by his father, Odell Howard Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Thompson, of Horse Cave.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Harper Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. until funeral time on Monday.
Eugenia Cartmill Walton
GLASGOW – Eugenia Cartmill Walton, 89, Glasgow, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at NHC in Glasgow.
A native of Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Sallie Wood McInteer Cartmill. She was a retired bookkeeper, having worked at T. J. Samson Hospital and Coca-Cola, and was a member of Glenview Christian Church.
Survivors include one son, Lowell Walton (Sara), of Glasgow; one daughter, Gail Matthews, of Alvaton; five grandchildren, Keith Walton, of Bowling Green, Nellie Arnett, of Beaver Dam, John Matthews II, of Fort Wayne, Ind., Benjamin Matthews, of Fairplay, Md., and William Matthews, of Alvaton; two great-grandchildren, John Roger and Karen Matthews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Walton, and one brother, Carl Lea Cartmill.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Gideons International.
