GLASGOW — Joe Brown

CAVE CITY – Joe Brown, 86, of Cave City, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Caverna Memorial Hospital.

He was the son of the late Earl Brown and Gladys Durham Brown Reece. Mr. Brown was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his brother, Charles Brown; one niece, Terri Proffitt, and her husband Derek; and one great-niece, Sarah Proffitt.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with graveside service and burial in Caldwell Family Cemetery near Westmoreland, Tenn., at 3 p.m. Monday. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.



Melvin David ‘Junior’ Pedigo

GLASGOW – Melvin David “Junior” Pedigo, 51, Glasgow, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at his residence.

A native of Glasgow, he was a son of Dorothy Bruton Pedigo Glidewell and the late Melvin Pedigo. He had formerly worked in tree service.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Jason Pedigo (Gwen), of Brownsville; one daughter, Jessica Pedigo (April), of Glasgow; their mother, Lisa Brown, also of Glasgow; two grandchildren, Jayden Lily Pedigo and Ashlyn Cadence Pedigo, of Brownsville; he had one brother, Ricky Pedigo (Connie), of Glasgow; six sisters, Darlene Glover (Ray), Judy Lawrence (Tommy), of Bowling Green, Shirley Neal (Danny), of Hiseville, Debbie England (Mike), Loretta Miller (Darrell) and Tammy Glidewell, all of Glasgow; also a special friend, Putches Garmon, of Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, two sisters, and two nephews, Terry David Walker and Kelly Dewayne Ward.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to help defray funeral expenses.

Beatrice Sego

MUNFORDVILLE – Beatrice Sego, 98, of Munfordville, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at her home.

Born in Boyle County on Sept. 5, 1914, she was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Fannie Robertson Lanham, and her husband, Hillard Sego.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home, with Reverend Gerald Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Munfordville Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 to 8 p.m. and will continue after 11 a.m. Sunday at Sego Funeral Home until time for services.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Munfordville Baptist Church, Munfordville Municipal Cemetery or the Gideons.



Tommy Eugene ‘Tommy’ Smith

CAVE CITY – Tommy Eugene “Tommy” Smith, 53, of Cave City, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, in Cave City.

He was born in Ozona, Texas, to the late Eugene Thomas Smith and Mildred Brooks Smith, of Cave City, who survives.

He is also survived by his wife, Kathy Smith, of Cave City.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Patton Funeral Home Park City Chapel, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Cedar Hill United Baptist Church. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at the church, with burial to follow at Mammoth Cave Cemetery.

 

Wilda Ilene Sutton

ELIZABETHTOWN – Wilda Ilene Sutton, 64, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Glasgow, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Sutton; and parents, Wayne Frank Gowin and Dorothy Bernice Mills Thurman.

GLASGOW – Janice Marguriette Bowman, 88, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at her home, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. and Saturday morning until time for the service. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Ky. And Southern Indiana Chapter, 301 E. Main St., Suite 100, Louisville, Ky. 40202, the Glasgow Baptist Church, or your favorite organization.



TOMPKINSVILLE – Raymond Jeffery “Big E” Emmert, 54, of Tompkinsville, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, Tenn. Funeral services will be conducted at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at noon on Saturday. Visitation is Saturday 6 a.m. to noon at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Masonic rites will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday night. Burial will be in Bailey Cemetery. Family request donations to Yokely Trible Funeral Home for funeral expenses, to Bailey Cemetery or First Baptist Church.



MONROE – Everett E. Hensley, 94, of the Monroe Community, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Caverna Memorial Hospital ER. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Sunday at Monroe Baptist Church, under direction of Winn Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service in Conyers Cemetery. Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the church. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Conyers Cemetery.



GLASGOW – Donald Lee Smith, 77, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Jeffries Cemetery.
