Devin Lee Carrier
BOWLING GREEN – Devin Lee Carrier, 29, of Bowling Green, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, in Bowling Green.
He is survived by his father, Derwin Carrier, and his mother, Symantha Morris Thomas.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hardy and Son Funeral, Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Boiling Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Herman Junior Gilley
KNOB LICK – Herman Junior Gilley, 87, of Knob Lick, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Norton Hospice Pavilion in Louisville.
He was the son of the late Herman and Mattie Faulkner Gilley and a retired farmer. Herman was a World War II Army veteran and member of Big Meadow Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Reece Gilley; four children, Gerald, and wife Yong-Zhi Gilley, of Springs, Texas, Ronnie, and wife Marilyn Gilley, of Gallatin, Tenn., David, and wife Amy Gilley, of Shepherdsville, and Tonya, and husband George Walenga, of Bowling Green; two brothers, Wilbur and H.G. Gilley, both of Edmonton; six grandchildren, Dan, Laura, and husband Gilbert, Linda, and husband Matt, Andrew, Samuel and Haven; two great-grandchildren, Zack and Cassie.
Besides his parents, Herman was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Diane Gilley, and one brother, Paul Gilley.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in Big Meadow Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Betty Jean Fox Gott
BOWLING GREEN – Betty Jean Fox Gott, 87, of Bowling Green, died Aug. 14, 2012, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
She was the daughter of the late James Beason Fox and Margaret Brown Fox.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Aubrey Gott.
Funeral services will be at noon Friday at Hardy and Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Berea Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 until 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Wilford ‘Archie’ Ogle II
ALVATON – Wilford “Archie” Ogle II, 52, of Alvaton, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
The Warren County native was an employee of Country Oven Bakery, former employee of Holley Performance, 21-year retiree of the Kentucky Army National Guard serving during Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom and a Baptist.
He was a son of the late Wilford Archie Ogle Sr. and Ruby Ann Key Ogle Thacker.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Norris Ogle, of Alvaton; one son, Codie Lee Ogle and fiancee’, Shelby Hathaway, of Alvaton; two sisters, Nina Compton, of Alvaton, and Sandra Jo Stinson and husband, Ricky Wayne, of Scottsville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ted and Betty Norris, of Glasgow; a special nephew, Nathaniel Stinson, of Scottsville; and several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Wilford Archie Ogle III, and one sister, Geneva Ann Gann.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home with Brother Randy Wells officiating, and burial in Mount Union General Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors by the Glasgow DAV Chapter 20. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
