Nola Duckworth
GLASGOW — Nola Irene Duckworth, 83, Glasgow, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital.
A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Venus Everett and Goldie Medley James. She was a cosmetologist and had spent most of her life in California.
Survivors include one daughter, Melinda Lyttle; and one granddaughter, both of California; one sister, Betty Miller of Indianapolis; three brothers, Billy Joe James and Donnie James, of Glasgow, and Albert James, of Bowling Green; her caregivers, Candy Burks and Tonya Wilkerson; 1 great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Poindexter and Marion Duckworth; one son, Roger Dale Poindexter; five sisters, Magaline Elmore, Doris Estes, Kathleen Chambers, Lougene Clark and Melinda James; twobrothers, Wendell James and Bobby James.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Kenneth Edward McBride
GLASGOW – Kenneth Edward McBride, 77, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
Born in Millen, Georgia, he was the son of the late Kenneth Edward McBride Sr. and Thelma Oglesby McBride. He was retired after 25 years as a sales manager for Western Auto Stores.
He is survived by his wife, Nell Briscoe McBride, of Glasgow; two sons, John Merkling, of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Jim Merkling, of Glasgow; two daughters, Janet Lee, of Smyrna, Tenn. and Jill Billings, of Houston, Texas; two brothers, John and Wade McBride, both of Georgia; one sister, Ann Skrine, of Georgia; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two children, Jeffrey Merkling and Jackie Salters and one brother, Bobby McBride.
There will be no local services. Memorial services will be at a later date in Georgia.
Doris Elizabeth Walker
TOMPKINSVILLEā— Doris Elizabeth Walker, 59, ofTompkinsville, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, at her home after a short illness.
Doris was born in Indianapolis, Ind. on July 30, 1953, a daughter of the late Lazalia (Ingram) and Melton Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, with Allen Wilson officiating. Visitation is 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday 6:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
Ronnie Wade, John Yokley, Chris Hodge, Gary Clements, Tony White and J.D. Woods will serve as pallbearers.
Deborah Elaine Widman
EDMONTON – Deborah Elaine Widman, 61, of Edmonton, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at her residence. Born in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Porter and Carrie Fernbach Thomason. Mrs. Widman was retired from Ford Motor Company in Louisville, after 23 years of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Mills, of Louisville, and Tina Ison, of Florida; five grandchildren, Ashley Powell, Sheye Haycraft, Hunter Ison, Danielle Jecker and Destiny Jecker; two great-grandchildren, Michael Morris and Caleb Head; a sister, Diana Thomason, of Louisville; a cousin, Sharon Green, of New Albany, Ind.; three very close friends, Truman Roach, of Edmonton, Marcia Litra, of Glasgow and Dave Buckner, of Louisville, also survive.
Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at A. F. Crow and Son Funeral Home, with cremation to follow the services. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
