For Dr. Bharat Mody – Ongoing success in all of his philanthropic endeavors.
For BRAWA – 1,000 more good homes for pet adoptions.
For Bounty of the Barrens – Continued growth.
For TJ Health Pavilion – A healthy grand opening.
For State Representative Johnny Bell – A new title in Frankfort.
For State Senator David Givens – A reprieve from redistricting.
For Barren County Sheriff Chris Eaton – A competent successor when the time comes.
For Barren County Jailer Matt Mutter – A copy of Dale Carnegie’s “How to Win Friends and Influence People.”
For Barren County Fiscal Court Magistrate Chris Steward – Shatterproof windows for his glass house.
For Barren County Judge-Executive Davie Greer – Her choice of a tranquillizer gun, Tazer or cattle prod. She will know what to do with each of them.
For new members of the Glasgow City Council: Dick Doty, Karalee Pelham Oldenkamp, Joe Trigg and Sheila Oliver – The strength of character to ask the hard questions, to be effective leaders and to be accountable to the people who elected you.
For returning members of the Glasgow City Council – The power of speech at council meetings.
For IDEA Executive Director Dan Iacconi – The patience of Job and Deepak Chopra’s “How to Deal with Difficult People.”
For Glasgow Mayor Rhonda Trautman – The ability to accept differing opinions as having merit.
For Glasgow Police Chief Guy Turcotte – A copy of the Kentucky Revised Statutes and a dictionary to look up the definition of transparency.
