MUNFORDVILLE — A Horse Cave man was arrested Friday on drug-related charges.
Steve Renick, 53, of 186 Short Cut Road, Horse Cave, was charged with possession of marijuana (under 8 ounces) and second-degree possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged on three Barren County bench warrants for contempt of court, said Hart County Sheriff Boston Hensley.
Renick was lodged in the Hart County Jail for a few hours before being transferred to the Barren County Correction Center where he could either pay $1,268 in fines or costs or serve jail time.
Renick was arrested after Hensley, Deputy Kenneth Glass and Horse Cave Assistant Police Chief Joe Middleton responded to a complaint of drug activity at 186 Short Cut Road in Horse Cave.
KSP arrest Hart County woman
A Hart County woman was arrested over the weekend on drug related charges.
Melissa Reynolds, 41, of 211 Creek Road, Bonnieville, was charged Thursday with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), possession of drug paraphernalia (second offense) and second-degree persistent felony offender, said Trooper Charles Swiney with the Kentucky State Police’s Bowling Green Post.
The state police responded to a complaint of drug activity at a residence in Bonnieville. Upon searching the residence, meth and drug paraphernalia were located, Swiney said.
Reynolds was lodged in the Hart County Jail on a $9,500 cash bond. Reynolds was scheduled to appear in Hart County District Court Monday.
