GLASGOW —
The loud roar heard around southcentral Kentucky last Friday night came from Tompkinsville after the Monroe County Falcons shut out the Glasgow Scotties 28-0. The Falcons played well on both sides of the ball and to beat a rival like Glasgow, the Monroe County faithful wanted everyone to know about it.
Head coach John Petett was definitely excited about the victory and he probably celebrated for a few hours. But then it was back to work in preparation for the Falcons’ next opponent, Hart County. Petett knows in the world of high school football, one game does not a season make.
“We let the kids enjoy the victory over Glasgow for a weekend, but we came in on Monday and looked at film and saw there are a lot of things we can improve on as a unit,” said Petett. “We are still struggling in our passing game and there are a lot of little things we need to do to propel us as we go through district competition."
