GLASGOW —
Prior to the season, John Tinsley knew every time his Glasgow High School Scotties took to the basketball court it would be a battle. And that would be especially true, Tinsley said, when the Scotties laced them up for a District 15 battle.
That’s exactly what happened Tuesday night when the Scotties fought district foe Allen County-Scottsville for 32 minutes before coming out on the short end of a 73-69 decision.
The game was back and forth throughout the four quarters with the Patriots finding a way to answer almost every Glasgow run. And the majority of the Patriots points seemed to come inside. Allen County-Scottsville concentrated on its power game and the success the Patriots had was something Tinsley was not happy about.
“They did beat us inside and they did exactly what they needed to do inside tonight,” said Coach Tinsley. “We didn’t do a very good job tonight with inside defense. We’ve been pretty good with our defense inside, but we weren’t tonight. And it cost us.”
