Former Glasgow High School standout Haley Perkins scored 15 points for Union College Thursday night in a 79-63 loss to Milligan in Appalachian Athletic Conference play.
The conference loss is the second in a row for Union, dropping it to 11-5 overall and 4-2 in the AAC.
Union got off to a bad start and never really recovered. Tied at 7-all, Milligan went on a 14-4 run to open up a 21-11 lead with 12:02 left in the first half. Union cut the margin to 27-20 with 6:43 to go, but Milligan closed out the half on a 9-2 run to take a 40-25 lead into the break.
While both teams had 23 rebounds in the first half, Milligan had 10 offensive boards. Additionally, Union turned the ball over 15 times in the first half as compared to Milligan's four.
