GLASGOW —
The level at Barren River Lake stood at 530.5 feet and falling Wednesday morning and we’re told bass fishermen have been enjoying pretty good fishing on some of the nice days, recently.
One from our oldtimer group fished early in the week and was catching bass along the bluffs throwing crank baits. I haven’t heard a report on crappie, yet.
This is a good time of year to begin getting the boat ready for spring.
And don’t forget that your fishing license expires at the end of this month, Feb. 28 to be precise. One of the few perks of advanced age is that we qualify for the senior/disabled combination hunting and fishing license for $5, the best deal anywhere.
