GLASGOW —
Finding a spot out of the wind has been the biggest challenge for fishermen at Barren River Lake this week. The bite had picked up significantly last week, but the weather definitely hasn’t been cooperative this week. The lake level stood at 544 feet Wednesday morning, continuing to fall with the annual drawdown which began Oct. 15. I haven’t been and haven’t talked to anyone who has this week, but bass were hitting good last week before the front came thru. I did speak with Loy Milam who had two more trips to the Cumberland River last week and did well on rainbow and smallmouth. He was planning a trip to Dale Hollow later, but I haven’t heard how that turned out.
