GLASGOW —
The Glasgow High School Lady Scotties left little doubt as to the outcome of their game Monday night at Edmonson County. Glasgow virtually shut ECHS down on defense and coupled that with another balanced scoring attack to roll to a 63-26 victory.
“Despite the outcome of the game, I thought we played very focused tonight,” said Glasgow head coach Justin Stinson. “We were focused tonight and we were able to maintain that focus, even when the game was decided.
“I thought we did a really good job on defense and I thought we did a good job of containing their dribble and stopping their penetration.”
The Lady Scotties shot a blistering 57 percent from the field against Edmonson County. Shalika Smith led the Glasgow charge with 20 points. Emily Alexander contributed 11.
Kennedy Bailey had nine points for the Lady Scotties. Kelsey Greer chipped in with eight and Hydeia Depp had six. Breanna Glover scored four points, but pulled down nine rebounds. Jaycie Edwards scored three point for GHS and Ashley Smith had two.
