Barren County volleyball lost to Edmonson County in two Thursday night, 25-17, 25-16.
The loss marks the Trojans’ third in a row after falling to Glasgow Sept. 10 and Monroe County Sept. 15.
Barren will next play in the Metcalfe County Invitational tournament on Friday and Saturday.
The Trojans are 5-9 on the year.
Glasgow loses to Allen County-Scottsville
Glasgow volleyball played Allen County close in their first game, but were routed in the second to lose in two games, 25-21, 25-5.
The loss reverses a recent winning trend enjoyed by the Scotties. After defeating Barren County in two games Sept. 10, they followed the performance with a three-game victory over Adair County.
Glasgow will play Clinton County, a team to who they’ve lost twice this season, on Sept. 22. Two days later, they will have a rematch with down-the-road rival Barren County.
The Scotties are 6-17 on the year.
