Three Scotties playing with U15 SKY team
Glasgow High School soccer players Andrew Froedge, Traz Smith and Dustin Thomerson have been playing with the Southern Kentucky (SKY) Select Soccer team based in Bowling Green this spring.
The 15-and-under team recently won their division in the Nike Cup Soccer Challenge in Columbus, Ohio April 26 and 27. They were also recognized at the Columbus Crew’s Major League Soccer game against the Houston Dynamo for that tournament win.
The team was also the runner up in their division in the Mid-American Soccer Classic in Fairfield, Ohio, on April 5-6.
The team’s record was 8-5-1 heading into the St. Mary’s Soccer Classic in Evansville, Ind., this weekend.
The SKY U15 team will conclude play with the Kentucky Select Soccer State Cup in Lexington over Memorial Day weekend.
