GLASGOW — The Barren County boys placed five runners in the top 13 and picked up a win in a home cross country meet on Thursday.
Barren’s girls also placed second at the meet.
Monroe County’s Isaac Roddy finished second in the boys meet, less than 10 seconds behind Jordan Green, of Butler County, who won the meet with a time of 17:56.52.
Barren’s Campbell Beals finished third in 18:04.86. Chris Neitzel took sixth, Mason Dunbar finished seventh, Ryan Metzger took 12th and Eric Skipworth finished 13th.
Glasgow’s Dustin Thomerson finished 10th with a time of 19:50.65. Metcalfe County’s Jason Shirley also finished 17th.
Allen County-Scottsville won the girls race by just three points over the homestanding Trojanettes.
Kaley Dunbar led Barren with a third place finish. Megan Bunch took fifth, Ally Davis finished seventh, Chloe Caudel took 11th and Christina Scott finished 13th.
Natalie Shields led Glasgow with an eighth place finish. Marisa Moore also took 28th for the Lady Scotties.
Dayla Hurst and Holly Acree, both of Metcalfe County, finished 22nd and 23rd, respectively. Hannah Bartley of Monroe County finished 36th, while Ali Walden finished 42nd.
