Punt, pass and kick contest set for Nov. 16
Bowling Park’s Punt, pass and kick contest will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16, at the Metcalfe County Middle School football field.
The competition is open to boys and girls ages 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12. Each contestant will have one attempt at each event.
Entry fee is $2 per child. Admission is free.
Lady Spikesters sign ups underway
Sign ups for the Glasgow Recreation Department’s girls Lady Spikesters Volleyball League will continue through Friday, Nov. 21.
This volleyball league is for girls ages 14-18 years of age, from beginning to experienced players.
League play will begin in December with most games being played on Saturday mornings. The cost for this league is $20 per child or $15 per child if more then one child per family participates.
Turkey Slam tourney is Nov. 22-23
The Glasgow Recreation Department will host a co-ed volleyball tournament on Saturday, Nov. 22, and Sunday, Nov. 23. The divisions will be Co-ed 6’s Open, Co-ed 6’s B’s and Church Co-ed 6’s. The tournament will be double elimination with a draw for the seedings. The deadline to register is Thursday, Nov. 20, at 4 p.m.
