Purples hold off Scotties in OT
Quentin Ellis, Glasgow High School’s talented senior point guard, scored 32 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the field Saturday night against regional powerhouse Bowling Green, but it wasn’t enough as the Scotties dropped a 72-69 overtime decision on the road.

BCHS boys get 'big' win
The Barren County Trojans have kind of been walking through a fog lately. The Trojans are playing good basketball, but after losing their last two games by a combined total of three points, a spark seemed to be missing from the BCHS program. The Trojans have battled through every game this season, diving after loose balls, fighting for rebounds, playing all 32 minutes. Barren County has definitely competed.

Lady Scotties thump Clinton County
The Glasgow Lady Scotties downed Clinton County 66-28 Friday night at Glasgow Middle School. Glasgow coach Justin Stinson said his team played well, especially defensively.

The Glasgow High School Lady Scotties moved to 18-3 on the year Thursday night with a 57-51 victory at Hart County.

National Signing Day
Three Glasgow Scotties made it official Wednesday afternoon. Hunter Bowles, who had previously pledged his desire to play football at the University of Louisville, signed his National Letter of Intent accepting a scholarship from the college. Meanwhile, Scottie teammates Jalen Sublett and Lajuan Smith announced their intended college destinations and signed letters of intent on the same day.

Lady Scotties blow past Lady Falcons
On Tuesday night, the third time seemed to be the charm for the Lady Scotties as Glasgow jumped on top of Monroe County early and never looked back as they cruised to a 58-36 victory.
