GLASGOW — Barren County boys soccer opened its season with a 9-0 loss to Bowling Green Tuesday night. The Trojans played the Purples to a 1-1 tie in last year’s season opener.

Barren will attempt to rebound on Thursday when the team hosts Greenwood at the Barren County/Glasgow soccer complex. Varsity play is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Trojanettes defeat Allen County-Scottsville

Barren County volleyball notched its second win of the season Tuesday night, defeating Allen County-Scottsville 2-1 (25-22, 22-25, 25-17).

The Trojanettes will travel to Green County tomorrow before trekking 110 miles east to take part in the McCreary Central High School Invitational in Stearns during the weekend.

Lady Hornets volleyball sweeps Edmonson County

  • BCHS boys get 'big' win

The Barren County Trojans have kind of been walking through a fog lately. The Trojans are playing good basketball, but after losing their last two games by a combined total of three points, a spark seemed to be missing from the BCHS program. The Trojans have battled through every game this season, diving after loose balls, fighting for rebounds, playing all 32 minutes. Barren County has definitely competed.
